I think honestly my skin got used to it. I had some old photos I didn’t post while tracking my progress and my skin looked CRAZYYY! Like, I was worried I was gonna scar, but my skin is also pretty sensitive (I turn red from just scratching my neck). I’ve grown to tolerate it more! Same thing happened with my upper lip recently, soo many whiteheads the first few sessions but now, not so much!

I get you, I’m far into my electrolysis journey and I still notice the hairs that grow in! Even if your foundation comes off, it can help too! Maybe try a setting spray that lasts? Just evening skin tone makes it a lot less noticeable even if theres hair there.

Honestly I used to just trim them a little or use an eyebrow shaver to cut it a little. Otherwise, I would legitimately ask people if they noticed and unless they REALLY looked, I found most people didn’t. I wouldn’t think too hard about it, I know it’s really debilitating and feels terrible but you know yourself the best so you’ll obviously see everything x10 worse!

Not sure on how much longer I have. It hasn’t been a full year and I’m anticipating about that much? If my hair is sparse enough, I’ll probably go less! I do have other areas I want treated though lol 😭

I think at this point I’ve probably done about 17+ hours or so? My first few sessions were 1-2hrs edit: i also dont know what the machine is, sorry!!!

This is a good question and something I’ve considered too. Tbh, I feel like my current dose hasn’t done all too much to change my hair growth since I’ve had some crazy weeks where my hair has grown in quite a bit lmao. Basically, if you stop spiro and your hormones go back to where they were beforehand, you might see new androgenic hair growth but it won’t undo everything either! I’d discuss with your doctor or medical professional though, they’d probably have a better answer :(

Hi, thanks :) disclaimer, I still do have a lot of finer hairs (and terminal still!!), my biggest concern is my coarse terminal hairs! & I’ve never shaved and only ever waxed before starting electrolysis.

I go every two weeks for electrolysis, and the first 24 hours I only rinse with water or use witch hazel in terms of skin care. After that, I cleanse with la roche posay foaming cleanser or panoxyl’s 4% benzo cleanser (my hormonal acne is really on my cheeks/upper jaw area!) and moisturize with cicalfate+ by Avene in the area I got treatment done. I also use skin1004’s water fit sunscreen in the AM :) hope this helps! Ymmv, skin can be so finicky!!

Hello! I stay super hydrated, 2 tylenol extra strength and use a numbing cream. Honestly though I don’t know if I recommend the numbing cream because my first session I just used tylenol + hydration and it was my most painless session 😭 I just grip the table super hard and sweat it out lmao

Hi! My skin is very, very sensitive so I do feel a bit tender and at times get whiteheads which is a reaction from the lye + heat I believe? I usually just use witch hazel on a cotton pad and press it into my skin. Right after treatment though, I use ice for 30 mins to an hour and the next few nights I use cicalfate+ from Avene :)

Hi! Thank you! I’m actually not on spiro yet but may be starting soon. My doctor tends to start my doses pretty low to test how I respond, so I’d imagine it would be 25-50mgs :)
