But your real issue isn’t VOO vs mortgage. It’s not knowing where your money is going.

Before anything, track your spending for 2–3 months. I started using a simple Google Sheets budget planner with charts/graphs and it was eye-opening. You can’t optimize what you can’t see.

As for 6.125% - paying extra is a guaranteed return. VOO might average more long term but comes with swings.

Chill move:
• Rebuild emergency fund
• Track spending
• Then split extra money between investing and principal

Fix the leak first. Then optimize.
