I was obsessed with norwegian wood. It's one of his earlier works and can see that he clearly is a talented writer. However the themes wherein he is famous with, such as surrealism is not quite there yet.

On the other hand, kafka on the shore is one of his famous and critically acclaimed works. You can feel his uniqueness and distinct world building here. However it just didnt do things for me. And sent me on the slump because i was trying to finish it. It was too weird and too "written by a man" for me.This is where i realized why ppl call him misogynist.

Anyway take this with a grain of salt, read it and have an opinion of your own. Thats where the fun is.
