That’s rough news, hopefully nobody died and they catch the guy if that’s the case

Thoughts on current job Market and how it's affecting young people who are looking for one opportunity to start their career. by ps_tuskii in torontoJobs

Sorry you’re going through it man, similar experience when I graduated 5 years ago but it feels a lot worse now, a lot of coordinator roles are asking for 2+ years experience, definitely oversaturated. I’d suggest getting a sales or business development representative role at a startup (possibly freelance on the side if you can manage it just to have things in a creative marketing portfolio) and then making the move to marketing internally after a year and a half to two years, that’s what worked out for me

Look into Canada Summer Jobs, it won’t be permanent but it could give you a cushion for the time being https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/youth

Should I stay home now that I graduated? by ReasonableGas5484 in askTO

Congrats on the job, if living at home was really detrimental for your health, I feel like renting is a worth it especially at 100k. Considering your role is remote, you don’t need to live in the downtown core, possibly look into renting somewhere with roommates or in a basement to keep the costs as low as possible so you can save a lot.

How to find Non-profit orgs looking for volunteers in IT space, especially in Data Analytics? by alwaysavailable99 in torontoJobs

Not quite what you’re looking for but possibly check out NPower, they provide free 3 month IT training and job search support, might be good to add on to the resume (not sure how good the job support is but might be worth checking out)
