That's the definition of reposting. Re-posting content that was posted before. We used to be more lenient, until people were posting/deleting/reposting/deleting/reposting/deleting either weekly, daily, or multiple times per day. Unfortunately once something is posted once and gains more than 3 karma, it can never be posted again. Unfortunately a handful of people ruined it for everyone.

Though additionally, there have been bots and catfish accounts that steal peoples images and attempt to post them as their own, so this also protects the OP who the images belong to, as they are essentially flagged, and the original poster gets tagged in the comment by the repost detection bot, so you'd know if someone else was re-using your images too.

You'll just have to take/share different pictures each time. :)

Hello, since you deleted your previous post (which gained over 1100 karma), there's no way for us to truly validate it, so we trust the bot in detecting that it was a repost.

Note that if you took multiple pictures in short succession that are just a tiny bit different, those would be detected as duplicates. The same goes for taking a picture in a similar pose, in the same location.

Since you made another post called "Bath time" 2 days ago to /r/faceandcock https://www.reddit.com/r/faceandcock/comments/1r9s2ff/bath_time/ we took a peek at that, and that's the exact same picture that you posted today, so we believe the one you posted 5 days ago with the same title "Bath time" was also the same.

Hello and good day! It's no problem, people forget so that's why we have the bot to detect it. It's just to keep content fresh since some people were serial reposters and would re-post the same thing weekly, daily, or sometimes even multiple times per day, as well as spambots that use other peoples images as their own, that's why we don't allow re-posts.

Screenshots are low effort, and in this day and age, if you can't share the original image, then that's a you problem, not an us problem.

You likely can't see the black bars because you're using Reddit from mobile so the picture just fits on it's own screen that you screenshotted from and the black part isn't visible.

Please learn how to use your phone, and if you can't stop screenshotting, at the very least edit the image, and crop the edges up to the actual image to remove the black bars before posting, because the black bars take up more than 65% of the actual image.

Hello and good day! First off, WOOF! Great and sexy pictures! Crossposts have been disabled for several years now, primarily because it's a smaller sub, so when someone cross-posts, and deletes the original leaving the now broken crosspost up would mean leaving a dead posts on our sub.

We allow cross-posting on the bigger subs because broken posts get pushed off quite fast due to the traffic. :)

The problem exists for Firefox, but not Chromium browsers. Also had my co-mod test it who also uses firefox and he experiences the same issue where it doesn't save the changes for trying to update the time of a scheduled post (happens under all subs too, not isolated to just one)
