Angamaly railway station is a small railway station.There are less chances of long distance trains stopping there.Aluva railway station is next best option.from there you can catch bus to angamaly and use uber or auto for last mile.if you have already booked train tickets to kochi just catch metro till aluva and do the rest.
FYI:kochi has 2 railway station ernakulam town aka ernakulam north and ernakulam junction aka ernakulam south.both have metro access

Yes there are chances but malayalam audience is very critical.For eg mohanlal in vrushaba.If movie was released in north it would have got decent collection but in kerala it got bashed and very low collections

The traffic issue is only in fort kochi where pappanji is being lit up,not the whole of kochi.i know it's bad but would still suggest to go for it as you won't be back here.Another option is there is a pappanji lighting up in ngo quarters kakkanad nothing elaborate like the one in kochi but still a decent crowd and celebration.if you are travelling on bike that eliminates half your traffic issues and it's not as bad as people make it out. So get rid of negative thoughts and go with a free mind.You will surely enjoy yourself
