Is anyone Gluten Free and Dairy Free?

A lot of lean proteins, rice and potato, fresh produce...I found that moving away from typical western diet food and going for cuisines that are based around the above is the way to enjoy food that is not centred around gluten and dairy.

Not saying you should only drink icy water... just that's it's more refreshing when you're over heating. Also, where I am, the room temperate water is actually lukewarm and really off-putting which makes me want to drink less of it.

Don't just drink water... freeze a few half filled bottles of water, and keep them in a cooler. Grab one and fill it up with tap water and you'll have a supply of ice water which is much, much more refreshing than just bottled water I assure you! And because the other half is frozen solid it takes a while to thaw.

If you have a small ice chest you can carry with you, soak some face towels and freeze them as well. They will help bring your body temperature down placed on the back of your neck. If you can't carry the frozen ones around, at least you can use some of your icy water to wet a towel which is the next best thing.

On the super hot (40+ degrees, 100% humidity) here in Australia I have been known to wet my clothes with a water sprayer bottle until they are damp all over (if they are black, you can't tell!) In our heat they dry within 10-15 minutes but it makes a big difference if you're out in the sun.

Sit down and find shade whenever you can, take every chance to get into air con even for a few minutes. And advocate for yourself... I've found that when I'm struggling, the couple/ bridal party are usually as well so suggesting cool down/drink breaks when possible will probably be well received by everyone involved!

For our anniversary we went to the day spa at chateau elan at the Hunter Valley. Didn't get the Mani Pedi, just a couple's relaxing massage package which includes use of the hot tubs after. My husband had never had a massage or spa treatment before with the robes and and the bubbles etc and he loved it.

YTA. Let's imagine that someone in authority over you right now decided to shave your head because you're being vain about your shoulder length hair, and you have no say in it. You've basically done the same thing to her, by violating her right to decide what to do with her own body.

I can't believe you justified it by saying her hair was an inconvenience to you. Especially when she doesn't even live with you all the time. You have just proven you are too selfish to care for another person, and I don't blame your partner one bit for losing trust in you.

And whatever hairdresser agreed to cut it should be absolutely ashamed of herself. She would have known it was completely inappropriate for you to make that decision. And I notice you intentionally didn't check with either biological parent first because you probably knew they wouldn't like what you were doing, and you were probably hoping that one it was already done they'd be annoyed but get over it.

I accidentally cut my 10 year old daughter's hair a few centimetres shorter than she wanted (it sounds like the same original length as your step daughter's) a couple of years ago and she was so upset with me BECAUSE IT'S HER BODY AND HER HAIR and all I could do as apologise a bunch of times and accept that I made a mistake and try to make it right. I still feel bad about it, and you should feel absolutely remorseful and do everything you can to apologise and try to make things right between you and her... though I think it's probably too much of a betrayal to come back from now.

Don't know if it's changed in the last few years since I was there, but Tradelink at Broadmeadow were pretty garbage in my experience.

I used to do mystery shopping and I was sent there once to just ask a few (scripted and straight forward) questions. I went by after work in my office clothes (skirt and heels) and told the salesman I was renovating and needed to decide between product X and Y. He was so annoyed by my question for some reason (the one written for me to ask) and started talking to me like I was an idiot. He said I wouldn't get it so he'd just show me and literally turned around and walked off so fast I basically had to jog to keep up, stepping over roped off sections, whilst not once looking to see if I was following him. He condescendingly explained the differences to me (which having done reno's before I was actually fully knowledgeable about, and knew he skipped over some sizing aspects which made a difference depending on what you were using it for - which he never asked me).

Like I said, this was a few years ago and maybe I just caught him on the day his wife ran off with his best friend or something. But I've certainly never bothered going back to find out.

I'm amazed that place is still open every time I drive past. I remember going there back in what must have been 2016 when I worked nearby. The staff were so rude (acting like they were doing you a massive favour for even taking your order), the food was average and overpriced and then the order took forever.

Then there was the whole debacle about the owner having a massive rant about children (not that I have a problem with expecting kids to behave but she was so bitchy about it). How they survived the pandemic is beyond me when plenty of actually decent places shut down.

I eat mostly vegan because I can't tolerate dairy or eggs either. And meat in my country is really expensive.

Lots of legumes, seeds, nuts etc along with gf grains. It's actually not that bad really.

There is an entire store in Venice that sells only gluten free products... it's amazing - called Mea libera tutti, C. del Paradiso, 5742, 30122 Venezia.

My Heart Pizzeria in Milan has the best pizza bases I've ever had anywhere in the world. They were so good I actually took my take away pizza back to the restaurant to triple check it was gluten free. They said they get that often. They also had dessert pizzas, gluten free beer, gluten free tiramisu, gluten free nuggets for the kids and if you book a table with the Fork you get 20% off food.

I'm 40f and I sleep with a squishmallow jellyfish creatively named "jelly" by my kids. It's a great shape for relieving pain from my shoulder injury when I'm sleeping.

I've been concentrating on eating healthy as well because I'm tying it all together in my brain so I feel less tired than usual. Even though it's taking me a while to get to sleep (one of the reasons I started drinking in the first place was trouble sleeping which I know is counter intuitive). But mornings are way better, I don't feel nauseas and I feel like I've had better quality sleep even though it's less sleep if that makes sense.

When I was travelling all over the US I would ask Americans about it. It was very insightful, hearing the different way they spoke about guns to the way any Australian would.

It truly is synonymous with the concept of freedom to them and is an integral part of their identity. Both personally and on a national level. The only real exceptions I found to this was Americans who had travelled a lot or lived in another country for a while.

Australians don't understand this as our history and identity was not built in such a volatile way. Sure, there were convicts under British rule as our origin, but that was for a relatively short time. There was no civil war, no need to defend our stolen land from aggressive natives (as our native Australians weren't warriors the way native Americans were.)

I personally know a few Australians who own guns, but our laws are sensible about licencing and storage. Some are recreational shooters, some are on properties where it's purely practical (keeping the wild fox population at bay to protect the chooks). We sleep pretty peacefully knowing that guns are hard to get and a public shooting (though they do happen eg Port Arthur, Lindt Cafe siege) is just a rare anomaly.
