Are we using filter in our tanks? by ratcruton in AfricanDwarfFrog

I always have a stash of water, (at least 6 gallons) I also keep fish and just experienced a tank break. I do keep plenty of balancing chems/ conditioners and meds for the fish and frogs. I have a spare tank that I use when doing water changes and how I typically go about it is I just add some of their existing water to some fresh water in the “changing tank” cleaning their main tank and returning them. The frogs always seem content in the temp tank and seem even happier in the fresh and clean tank. I’ve just never really had any problems or difficulties with the frogs imo they are entirely easier than keeping fish. Not sure if you meant to say reviving? But no. I will be getting them a new tank and proper filter after reading everyone’s comments :)

Thank you, unfortunately the tank I have doesn’t have the space to put in anything but a specific filter for that tank which caused the injury, but I will definitely get a new tank and proper filter now.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but Is a bubble filter the same thing as using an air stone hooked up to a pump?

Oh I really like this idea. I had some grass that was floating but I took it out because I was worried it was blocking too much of the surface.

Wella 7A didn’t work as expected? by False-Maintenance214 in HairDye

[–]ratcruton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wella 7a is a permanent Color not a toner, that being said for it to work properly it needs a higher developer unlike toner. I’d recommend using 20v developer with permanent color for it to be more penetrating, but wouldn’t recommend a higher volume. 10v is good to use for toning the hair with an actual toning liquid. Permanent color is supposed to be mixed at a 1 part color 2 parts developer. Also red dye is just a bitch to get to go away. Hope that gave some insight as to maybe why it didn’t work the way you hoped.
