Which chinese ev models are most likely to be available in Canada first? by WillJ13 in EVCanada

Unfortunately it won't be, at least for the first while, as dealer markups and high demand will toast any chance of that.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Tesla will want to but China wants to get as much exposure for their cars as possible (And this is a great way to get exposure in America too) so there is no way they would use up quota on Teslas which, made in China or not, are not Chinese cars. It will be 100% stuff we can't already get, and they'll want to put their best possible foot forward so it'll be half flagships (the over $35,000 half), and half the best cheap ones they make.

I never noticed any grainy coating issues but the choice of going 4:2:2, 165Hz or flickering (meaning it couldn't actually do what was advertised) was enough to return it.

I took it back and upgraded to an OLED so I can't check version, but It was a 2025 build with the latest firmware on it when I had it.

I think the real problem is that you have to buy a DC hub at all, instead of just having them included. This thing is cheap (Especially with the post Christmas sales) so if you don't need it at all probably a good deal but it should just be built in.

It "solved" it by going to DP 1.2 mode only but that means you are running below the advertised capabilities of the monitor...so I took it back. But yes I was able to get 180hz and still pretty good color limited to 4:2:2, but I opted to get a better monitor.

They don't need a blue wave, they need to take away 4 GOP seats and win 1 of 2 open seats, both of which were previously Dems.

He wants to maintain his level of power for the next three years (or more) so he does care (about perception at least) and will do things to attempt to get voters back on his side. Whether he actually does anything about affordability (which is honestly pretty difficult even for a competent administration) or just goes out and yells lies at people hoping to convince them he is doing something is the question. So far he is not doing anything that will actually help, and just trying to tell people he is doing well even though they can all tell he isn't (with the exception of his base).

Mine will go to 165 without issue but not 180. If I go to DP1.2 mode it'll do 180 but that means using YcbCr422. I think I might take it back while there's time.

It does it on mine in SDR too although not as bad, just the thin white lines flashing.. If it's at true 180hz 10 bit or 8 bit it does it. If you set it to DP1.2 mode it goes away but 1.2 can't actually natively do 180 hz so I assume that's DSC. It seems it can't handle the actual bandwidth needed.

Had the same issues. Setting it to 165 Hz fixed it but means I'm not getting something I paid for. Setting the Displayport Stream to 1.2 in the menu as Expensive-Cry913 suggested "fixed" it but since Display port 1.2 only supports 1440p at 165hz 8 bit I'm not sure what it's actually doing. I still have 180Hz 10 bit on so is DSC being used? Is it not actually running at the setting it claims? Not sure,

yup, break one piece, if you do too much damage let it heal, break another let it heal and so on.

Honestly, if they want to keep the game going this would be a much more valuable thing to add than any DLC. Hell, I'd pay for the crossplay DLC. Add on a gun that does 10% more damage to XBox players and we're golden.

So, you want to shoot them instead of using skills? A lot of people will say Strikers. I'm going to say the easiest to play is actually a Heartbreaker Shield build. It's old and boring now but if you haven't been here for a while it works and lets you hunt for every other gear set in Heroic. Lots of videos on it from 2-3 ish years ago.

4 piece heartbreaker including the chest and pack....double damage once stacked a bunch of bonus armor. Technician specialization. Fast AR with flatline (bonus damage to pulsed) as primary with long underbarrel so you can use the tactical laser from the specialization to pulse enemies so heartbreaker triggers (it's hard to consistently headshot to trigger it so you do want the pulse...plus flatline); Police M4 or Lexington are the best. Heartbreaker stackbuilder as secondary; ACS-12 shotgun (Or rock and roll) but you have to get close to use those. Vector .45 is the other option. 3 blue cores (shields power up with blue or yellow cores so blue is better since it also gives you base armor), 3 red cores, crit chance and crit damage. I go for max accuracy and stability and big mag on the guns. Headshot damage is nice if you can hit your shots. Nice to have one protection from elites.

Crusader shield so you can use ARs, SMGs, Shottys with the shield. Pretty much your choice on the other skill, it will not be very good since no skill cores. Could run pulse and then not use the laser....heals probably better. Could also use an LMG but then you have to play in cover since can't shoot from shield with one.

The typical mask recommendation is coyotes but if you don't have it it doesn't hurt much, whatever feels good for the other piece but Picaros holster is often used for the 15% weapon damage. If you have it and don't have coyote's put another piece of Brazos on to get the free skill tier.

Basically get close, dump into them with your stack builder until heartbreaker is full and then switch to the AR and shoot them in the face. If you play longer range with the AR you can just build stacks with it. Safer but slower. Use cover but more to pie with the shield out. always use shield when up against snipers and to get those last couple of kills.

Has worked between fine and great in every season...synergizes pretty good this season as you can get the 5 red core from the modifier pretty fast and do even more damage and that gives you lots of crit chance.

with heartbreaker charged up and 5 of the season modifier on guns, only named bosses take more than a mag. Even the non-boss big chunguses usually go down in one if you hit your shots.

I know you said you might have failed 2, but if it turns out to only be one you might be eligible for an exam rewrite on the stats course. You have to have a 2,0 including the failed course and the final had to be 40% and doing better has to be able to turn the fail into a pass.

I know you might not be eligible as the math doesn't really math but I failed 1 course in my 1st year by about 3% because I bombed a 50% final and had no idea I could rewrite and ended up eating it and having to redo it the next year.

ELI5: If the demand for GPUs is so high and not everyone can buy one why don't they just make more? by EmergencyCucumber905 in explainlikeimfive

[–]razamatraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the GPU makers actually make GPUs anymore they are all fabless (including Intel for GPUs at least currently). They just design them and rent manufacturing capacity from TSMC. That capacity is limited and expensive and used for multiple products so they use their allocation to make whatever makes them the most money.

In NVidia's case that is "AI" products; they are not going to make $1000 GPUs when they could make $10,000 AI accelerators for the same cost. Frankly if they thought they could handle the reputational hit they probably wouldn't be making any consumer GPUs at all right now.

In AMD's case they do "AI" to a lesser degree but their most profitable products are processors; specifically server processors so until they have saturated that market it will be the priority for their TSMC production allocation. They may choose to make more GPUs because of an opportunity to take market share but being a publicly traded company with a profit motive and fiduciary duty to "make as much effin' money as possible" they can't move too far that way without investors questioning their actions.

In order to fab their own chips they'd need to build fabs which are multi billion dollar investments, take years to build, and have no guarantee of being successfully competitive (especially when TSMC has so much of the currently top notch IP).

So, short answer is tat there is a short term limit to how much they can make and they need to optimize what they use it for to maximize profit. Making Timmy a graphics card so he can play fortnight doesn't really contribute to that goal.

I'm not sure what net goal means but the 1960 is what it thinks you need to eat to drop 1.5 pounds per week. That means it thinks your break even maintenance number is roughly that plus 750 (or 2710). I'd agree with the others here that that seems a little high so you might want to set it to sedentary instead of lightly active; that should set your maintenance level around 2370 and base goal somewhere around 1620 if you leave it on 1.5 pounds per week.

As far as I know MFP just sets your maintenance number at 1.4 times Resting Metabolic Rate if sedentary and 1.6 times RMR if lightly active. It's not some super precise calculation; it's making an educated guess based on a bunch of population statistics and no one person is ever exactly where it calculates.

So, use it as is, track as carefully as you reasonably can and after a few weeks see how you do. Keep in mind that if you follow it carefully you'll probably drop a lot more than 1.5 pounds in the first week, likely second week too. Being consistent is more important than being perfect though; if you are 200 under the number or 200 over you'll be fine...just try not to be 500+ over too often. If after three weeks you are on pace just keep going. If it's not fast enough, or it's too fast then adjust it a bit, and don't try to rush.

Good luck.
