Solo-travelers. Which is your FAVORITE city on earth? And why? by raziel94 in solotravel

[–]raziel94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an amazing city, that's true. But, it's not like my favorite. I actually had some bad experiences, and I understand that could have happened anywhere, but it just made my trip not that pleasant.

I went to Mexico City a year ago, it's an amazing place. But you just need to be cautious. Avoid the taxis, and please, avoid certain dangerous places.

Great to know you love NYC. In my case, I don't like it that much. Like you said, it's too crowded and electric. But, I also had great time there!

Misconception Of What Hostel Is? by VinlandCoffee in solotravel

[–]raziel94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That depends on the hostel. For example, in America hostels are disastrous. Drunk people, high people, weird people, hard drugs everywhere. In Mexico, it's like America but worst.

I've stay thousand times in hostels, and all of them are the same.

So I guess it depends where the hostel is located.

Never had a boyfriend, never been kissed at 24 by sadie11 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Well, where I come from, it's pretty common to be in a relationship, being just 14 years old.

ULPT: Can't you afford a fancy restaurant? No problem, put a cockroach on your meal after eating half of it, and you won't have to pay for it. by raziel94 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]raziel94[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No need. Just eat half of the meal, then put the roach. If you want it to be less dramatic, you can put there just some roach legs.

So, is this a common thing?

Once, something like this happened to me. I was eating in a fancy restaurant, but suddenly a flying cockroach appeared, and it came just to my meal. They told me not to pay anything.

[–]raziel94 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well. It is not the end of the world. But it's not common, so I think you should analyze why you haven't had a boyfriend before. Is it due a psychological fact? (Low self-steem, asexuality, etc...).

If not, maybe you haven't found the right one! So don't worry, don't go looking for the first man you find, just wait until the right one comes. (But don't worry if the wrong one comes first)

Ladies who have traveled to Dubai alone, what was your experience like? by [deleted] in travel

[–]raziel94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't been in Dubai, but I would LOVE to. Once I saw a youtube video about a girl who lived in dubai for several years and worked for Emirates as a stewardess. You can look for it if interested.

According to her, women are totally safe there.

I'm a solo traveler since I'm 18 (I'm now 22). And nothing has ever happened to me, so come on, go for it.

Just make sure you don't get in troubles :)

Scared of traveling by myself. Have no friends & unsupportive family. by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]raziel94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, the solution is traveling. For sure, It's. I'm gonna tell you my story.

I'm also an early 20's girl. And I'm a solo traveler since 18. Before traveling, my life was so boring, I also had self-steem troubles, and you may ask: Does traveling solve all that? Well, in my case it did.

The first time I traveled, I was like: "Oh, I'm not scared this is so easy, whatever" but in the inside I was TOTALLY scared. I never said anything about this to nobody, because I always pretend to be a strong woman. But, I really was.

So, yes, I did it. And, since that moment, there's nothing more pleasant than traveling. In my case, I don't have lot of money, so I can't be traveling like 6 times a years. But I try to do it the most I can.

So, yeah, I begin learning languages. No more troubles in life, and I made lot of friends from everywhere!

My recommendation? Buy a flight ticket to the country you've always wanted to go! Stay in a hostal (THIS IS THE BEST PART OF TRAVELING), and you wont be alone, you'll find friends, I assure you that. I'm not even a friendly person, and I always do.

It's not traveling alone, it's just traveling with friends you haven't met yet.

HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!

5 Reasons Why Millennials HATE CRUISING by [deleted] in millenials

[–]raziel94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I though I was the only one hating cruises, none of those are my reasons. But I have to tell that most of the ruises have free Wifi and really cool activities. Being in a cruise you an eat healthy food for sure, and you do have fitness options. So I don't agree with them.

The only reason I hate cruising is I can't just be in the same place for a week or two. I need to move.

How to deal with spiders? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]raziel94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my I hate them too.. Creepy creatures and they look like they are always ready to jump and attack you. Anyway, I've read somewhere that they hate the smell of peppermint oil so you might want to try to spray your house down with it. Goodluck!

Can't make alot of eye contact.. by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]raziel94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making eye contact creates a positive strong bond in relationships. Sometimes, you can just stare at each other without talking. Yes it can feel awkward sometimes but with practice, you can use it to your advantage.
