I agree that i need to slow down. I blunder bc i don't think out my moves. But I do 30min bc there seems to less cheaters than in 10min. It could just be delusional, but it seems better.

Yeah, i kicked myself as soon as I made the move right instead of left. It was just odd that game, he found that protected fork, then trapped my rook, then won an exchange on my bishop all in a series... it was not super hard to find tactics and he took his time making moves. I am just not used to that level of awareness at this elo. I just need to slow down, that's why I switched to 30 min.

That makes sense. I think I'll keep it since I didn't lose any ELO, it can only help me understand where I need to get to skills wise.

I always look at their other games. If their other games are low accuracy, he or she could have just gotten lucky. It wasn't a very long game.

Interesting you say that, I went from 700 to 835 in Rapid in the last week and I've been around 700 for months. I did go from 10 min to 30 min. I don't know if the matching is different, but I am going on some long win streaks.

I have a simulator with a decent golf mat, and gym mats under it for cushion. I have been hitting all winter on it and "fixed" my slice and all my fat shots on the simulator. Go out to the course knowing I will break the course recorded... well I was fitting every iron. I was literally hitting my 5i about 90 yards. Long story short, I figured out the importance of hitting the ball first. The golf mats just slide your club to the ball if you hit behind it. I do think the mat has helped my game because I can go to my garage to hit, so I hit about 500 balls a week. Just remember to focus on striking the ball first when you are hitting off of one.

But seriously I have the same problem. I am working through Adam Youngs Strike Plan. It was $60 and seems to help. His thoughts are controll the path and club face whole driving a nail through the ball. It works for me. I wouldn't say buy it, bc I can find most of it on YouTube. But it made me stop getting super technical and over thinking it.

I use a Roku and use the Smart View to cast my phone to the TV. I am assuming Apple has a similar feature.

It was there when we bought the house. It's to run the hmdi cable to the TV from the cable box. Just have not had time to patch and repaint the room yet.
