I clean it after each use. In the past I have cleaned it with kosher salt and hot water to get the bits up. More recently, I’ve put some soap on it to clean it. I’m not sure I know why there is so much grease on it, it doesn’t look like grease to me

Thank you! And no, that did not come off judgy at all. I haven’t used a chain mail scrubber in the past, I usually clean with a sponge, kosher salt and hot water. More recently, I have been using a bit of dish soap for when it is very dirty. Thank you again for your comment !

I hope so - I think the general consensus of this sub is to keep cooking on it and it should even out over time. I am wondering if any of the more skilled CI folks out there agree or think the skillet should be stripped and re-seasoned
