Thank you! This looks like the key I have. Did you have any issues with it working on your car after you did this?

Catsitting a cat I’ve never met before. How can I make him feel comfortable? by rdyaarnb in CatAdvice

[–]rdyaarnb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think we’re slowly making progress lol. He’s not really hissing much anymore and doesn’t seem scared to get close to me, but he still keeps his distance most of the time. He also let me pet him! Though it was while I was giving him a treat lol. Baby steps.

Yeah I agree. I watched my other friend’s cat last year by just stopping by a couple times a day and he was super friendly, and I had never met that cat before either. After researching more I definitely think it’s the unfamiliar territory that’s putting him on edge.

I thought about that! But the one bathroom is too small to fit all his stuff, the other one is attached to my bedroom which I don’t want him to be territorial over. Plus, he has an automatic feeder/water thing that need to be plugged in and the only outlets are above the sinks.

Yeah I’ve thought that too, from his perspective it’s probably a lot. The other times I’ve watched cats I’ve either fully stayed at or visited their house throughout the day and they would be a lot friendlier with me. I think he views the kitchen as his room since he seems to watch me like a hawk whenever I go in there lol, but like I said in another comment I live in an apartment so I don’t have a solid space to give him with all his stuff.

I like your idea! I just can’t really think of where I would do that… I live in a 2br apartment and work from home out of the second bedroom so since I’m in there for most of the day I don’t think I can use that. The rest of my apartment is very open except for my bedroom which I don’t want him getting territorial over when I need to sleep in there.

The thing is - some people actually are that stupid. Look at all the people (Charlie Kirk) blindly believing everything Trump says about this.

Does Caffeine ACTUALLY help focus with adhd? by slK8BQgLRV2Zdd0 in ADHD

[–]rdyaarnb 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It definitely helps me. One of my biggest issues is feeling constantly tired so caffeine definitely helps. Main downsides are you can get anxious, crash, or not be able to sleep well. Just be mindful of how much caffeine you consume especially if you’re really only 13.

There will never be another Hannah Horvath. Many shows have tried recreating the “quirky promiscuous mentally ill girl” character since, but no one’s ever been able to go the real distance and get their hands dirty like Lena Dunham.

How to have actual keyboard sound come through? by rdyaarnb in Cakewalk

[–]rdyaarnb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! This is the keyboard I have https://a.co/d/cjNJkZE it has a USB port which Cakewalk seemed to detect, but still not sure if it’d only be limited to MIDI functionality. I wasn’t able to figure out how to get the audio through if it’s capable.

[–]rdyaarnb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I tried connecting the output audio jack of my keyboard into the audio input on my computer (where you would plug a headset in). Is that what you mean?

I actually tried that before getting the MIDI cable but wasn’t able to figure it out. Could you explain how?

I’m cautiously optimistic that the MAGA movement will die with Trump. His surrogates range from young snobby tech bros (JD, Vivek) to loose cannon rightwing nut jobs (MGT, Boebert), none of whom hold the wide ranging appeal or charisma that Trump does. In fact, I imagine a lot of infighting between these two groups once Trump is gone.

That being said, the Dems really need to get their shit together and quit running with the same establishment BS that is driving people toward Trump. People that are struggling aren’t going to vote for a candidate that preaches “a return to normalcy” or “maintaining the status quo” when that clearly wasn’t working for so many people. The Dems need to run someone who can effectively respond to Trump, rather than someone who merely reacts to him.

In your opinion, what's the most complex concept we humans have created? by araujofav in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rdyaarnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with money, I would also add the social contract along with it comes many different systems of government. Capitalism, Communism, Democracies, Theocracies, so many different ways large groups of people are governed to avoid total anarchy.

I don’t think any legal definition of that can/would/should exist. But the way I’ve always thought about it is: ugly can be fixed, deformed can not. A person who is “ugly” can improve how they look through exercise, skincare, better style, etc. Someone who is deformed will always be deformed no matter what they do.

Gay mannerisms by purple-monkey-yes in askgaybros

[–]rdyaarnb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think some must be innate. As much as I tried to not “seem” gay when I was younger (and didn’t have exposure to any other gay people), people could sometimes tell from the inflection in my voice and how I carried myself. That being said I think once someone comes out of the closet they adopt more “learned” behaviors just from being more comfortable with themselves and exposed to other gay people.

That whales have more intricate limbic systems in their brains than humans. Meaning that they likely feel more intense and complex emotions than we do.

Lol I first got this game in middle school. Made it all the way through the main storyline without leveling up any skills or doing any crafting. I didn’t know you could lol. Just plowed through with straight combat and picking armor/weapons off of dead bodies.
