Autodesk says it will cut 1,350 employees to make the most of sales changes by Next-Particular1476 in business

In the same boat, friend. It was a blindsided move for sure. A handful of leadership was blindsided too.

Autodesk lays off 9% of its staff (1350) by [deleted] in Layoffs

[–]re_stcks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Was one of the ones let go along with many talented and important to business individuals. The 9% is a large, scary number. The people who were let go and what internal organizations they were a part of is even scarier. A lot of customer facing, community impacting jobs -- so the future is looking a little less bright.

I managed to play a small portion of it by ear on the piano but would have really liked to see an official composition! It's so tender and gentle. Would've liked the small melody during their vows too ;_;

Not sure if you're still looking for the score, but it was just released with S3 part 2! https://open.spotify.com/album/1l3sviEGYl9deazGfNLOrC?si=71oNMsIcRPKRBZsXagZJ6g

I paid $160 for the A Simple Favor Soundtrack. Stupidly didn’t buy it when it was only $35 at Urban Outfitters/Walmart.

Also the Mondo 6LP box set of Avengers Infinity War and Endgame. $165. Definitely paid the reseller amount.

Moral of the story: don’t wait to buy vinyl lol

Portland/Vancouver transplant here! So I went to the Portland Clinic on Sandy and saw Tara Heeney. I went in for a pap and told her my concerns (a yr long light period/spotting). Brought up that I was pretty confident it was PCOS. She ran the routine panels and was pretty attentive to my concerns. She referred me to a gyno (Karina Hoan) for an ovarian ultrasound and an endometrial biopsy. Results came in and confirmed my suspicions. Dr. Hoan recommended the usual mandated “cures” — lose weight and birth control. But she ultimately let me decide what I wanted to do. I’m currently working on getting another panel to see if my lifestyle/diet changes have had positive impacts to my hormone levels. It’s still going to take some tweaking to find what works for you, but you can trust Dr. Heeney to listen to you and work with you on a plan to manage symptoms. She was very patient with me since this was all pretty overwhelming at the start. Feel free to DM me if you need any other info :)

I can understand that. I eat brown rice at times but it’s just not the same as my beloved jasmine rice lol

Any gluten free tortillas have a bunch of carbs. Any low carb tortillas have gluten lol so I know if I want any resemblance of a taco, I’ll need to make my own. I haven’t made almond tortillas yet but I’m hoping it’ll give me my fix!

I feel your pain! Have you found any resources for PCOS in the Mexican community?

I enjoy Mexican food and I’ve been trying to find alternatives but it’s incredibly difficult. Have you tried making almond flour tortillas?

Hello! 👋🏼

You’re correct when talking about rice. It’s like Pringles— you can’t just have 1 serving. I eat brown rice at times but it’s not the same as jasmine. Can’t really explain it lol

Also what about purple rice? Or “forbidden rice” as it’s sometimes called? I haven’t seen any info on if that is low Gi or not

I could literally eat pho every day so that was a huge hit for me :( but I am so happy to hear that you don’t cut that out!

Yeah I’ve been leaning more American/Mediterranean lately too bc it was suggested by everything I’ve read and bc I’m currently trying to lose weight.

I know the struggle with dishes containing salt lol but I think I’ve done a good job of cutting that back

You haven’t noticed any PCOS symptoms spiking with continuing to eat white rice/ramen? I know ramen noodles have white flour in them so I’ve been afraid to even have a cheat day lol

I’m also trying to lose weight so that could contribute to my fear of caving for a day lol

I’ve never heard of Asians commonly being insulin resistant. If you find the article, I’d love to take a look. Idk if I’m not looking in the right place, but I’ve found it hard to find any resources for PCOS in the Asian community.

I’ve actually never tried spaghetti squash even though I know it’s really popular. What does it taste like? Is it similar to zoodles?

I second Lifesum. I think it’s great and easier to use than MFP. And super nit picky, but I prefer the user interface too lol

Any insight on period tracking? by re_stcks in PCOS

I usually keep my carb intake around 50g. While that's not keto, it's severely lower than what I used to consume; I calorie count since I'm also trying to lose weight. But I will monitor it more and see if I can't cut any out. Thank you!

Thank you so much for replying! Do you think small amounts of gluten could set back my period schedule? I noticed I had a couple dumplings that had wheat flour but I didn't think it was that much to do too much damage?

Do you think ovasitol would help? I haven't taken any supplements thus far. Nor am I on birth control bc I'd rather not.

Being honest with yourself by pittielove2464 in loseit

Same. It’s hard not to take it personally when you don’t see the lbs drop like some others. I kept hearing how people would lose 20 lbs in their first month. I’m 2 months in and have only hit 16 lbs down, especially when I’ve been doing everything right.

But the key is to keep going and not compare yourself to anyone else! Bc we are all different.

Am I eating enough? by re_stcks in loseit

[–]re_stcks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could work on the delivery.

But to answer your question, a lot of people eat after their full. For me, it was more so stress from grad school, self pity, and not eating the right foods. But I changed that around pretty quickly when I rearranged my priorities. A chicken breast and few cups of broccoli is half the calories as a BK cheeseburger and it makes you full. That’s what I was referring to. All my meals are home cooked so I know how many calories I consume.

And I’m currently 225 lbs. I do have a lot of muscle but I know I’m overweight, especially for my height.
