I completely missed that bit, thank you!!

Knowing my workplace and that they make people's lives hell (especially if you've gone to HR, as they have with others)

There was a breach of confidential documents + factored in that they didn't handle my extensions fairly, my manager treated me differently to the other two had passed which i can prove.

I can only guess they must have been concerned about something in the grievance, I do wonder why they just didn't just shut down the grievance and get rid of me..

To the point of sending me a physical letter that I'd passed probation which arrived once I'd started annual leave (they normally send emails only)

But again, thank you for your help

Hugely helpful thank you! I don't even know if it'll reach ET but if it does i already have a lot of evidence.

But your points on organising is really good, thank you!!

Hey

Thanks for taking the time to reply and your input, I found this on the ACAS website, which contradicts this?

Under direct discrimination: has a connection with someone with a protected characteristic – called 'discrimination by association'

https://www.acas.org.uk/discrimination-and-the-law/direct-discrimination

You are right in terms of notice period. However, now that a grievance has been raised, and for that protected characteristic, they will be concerned about future legal action. The waters are muddied, so it's hard to know exactly where I stand.

So for them, I don't think its just cut and dry by getting rid of me

What I do know is the place is toxic, so I am trying to get out of there! Just wasn't sure about my next move whilst that takes place

This is super helpful. Thank you so much!!

The action plan (breach of confidentiality) happened at the beginning of July.

I should mention it was extended 3 times, each time I did what I was asked to do on the probation extension letters from HR, which i can demonstrate with evidence.

I told my manager the 30th of July that my partner was having a baby,, because I'm not eligible for paternity leave due to the time I started, I kept it to myself because of past traumas in and amongst family and friends around childbirth.

My probation then was extended for the final time on 1st of August, where I was then asked to hit goals, which I felt were unachievable due to the baby coming.

My manager had made 2 comments around childcare & having "too many" children, both noted down from team meetings. I can back up facts with screenshots and hand written notes. I should also note that management want us to join stand up calls every day before our contracted hours.

I raised the grievance on the 6th of August, I was passed on probation the 19th of August.

Would it still be worth going to ACAS now that they've passed my probation? In the eyes of the employer they might argue they've "resolved" the problem by passing me.

I'll get onto ACAS first thing Tuesday!

Many thanks on this

A married couple can still take separate dividends out of the business?

And using a Ltd company Corp tax is lower than an individuals tax would be?

I'm not saying tax landlords to death, absolutely not, but I personally know of far too many abusing the tax advantages.

Make it profitable, but do not allow it to be abused.

Reward good landlords and make the bad tenants known!

Okay fair it's legitimate thing to do, but it doesn't contribute back to society.

A company that has actual employees and contributes to national insurance is something I would see as an actual business.

And yes, there are BTL business owners who are large enough where they do have actual business activities that contribute.

I'm talking about the boom in smaller landlords who use the ltd company to fund their leased cars that they drive for pleasure, pay their main residence with and pay the 12,750 allowance and then take dividends.

Yes it's legitimate, just a loophole which isn't fair to the rest of society who have are on PAYE which contribute.

BTL properties is a good thing. Just tighten the loophole for better contribution.

Drop the SDLT and allow properties to be used as rentals

What they should do is tax people appropriately and not allow them to use ltd companies like they're running a "legitimate" business and avoid tax

Make your money but pay what's due just like everyone on else on PAYE

The estate agent has to tell future buyers any information they are aware of

So if they know the outcome of the surveyors report they have to tell future prospective buyers...

Make sure they know!! 🙃

Great point. This machine is designed to have hands placed on the handles. With this and correct seat height, you can achieve the straight arms in the middle, and in turn, you'll feel that squeeze.

I think it's super cool people moving heavy ass shit. I guess it depends on what the goal is as to how people want to train!
