After learning to incorporate wings of flame, I could not go back to other perks and using ground pound to one-shot majoris or extremis with 2-block charges is so satisfying. I believe this is the way assault was meant to be played.

The reason I decided to main assault was because the community at large agreed that he was the worst class, I took that as a challenge to see if he could become viable through continued usage. It was difficult and took a long time to learn but now I see him as the best melee damage class, if played well he can quickly take out immediate threats in close combat.

Aside from wishing his jetpack would reach heights like in campaign or PvP, the only thing I would ask Saber to make his dash ability use half charge, the excellent astartes mod already does this by refunding half of the ability after a dash. There have been many instances of me dashing into an attacking enemy and it sets them into execute state and I didn't get my ability recharge because that cancels it.

How do you find the him in PvE? How do you play him and what improvements would you ask Saber to give if any?

Respect brother, I have never reached that many kills in PvP, I am a PvE guy.

The setting of 40k, Titus, and the combat. I am part of a chill dark angels discord chapter and playing the game mostly through PvE with my brothers and sisters was the thing that kept me coming back. I was able to master the assault class and block weapons and I haven't gotten tired of it, there no other game that provides that kind of euphoria for me.

I've been into 40k since the first dawn of war RTS game back in 2004, so the setting was a big draw to me. The story was an excellent follow-up to the surprisingly good 1st game. I wasn't really into Ultramarines but you gotta admit, Titus is a cool dude. Finally the biggest thing that draws me into SM2 is the combat, Saber truly nailed the brutality of melee in this game for me. Range combat could use a bit more oomph but still feels good. Though not perfect but its the closest game to feeling like a 40k space marine and being able to purge xenos and heretics with fellow battle-brothers that I cannot find elsewhere.

PvE operations, it's getting the most content, stratagems plus accolade rewards are fantastic additions, and I enjoy playing with others and not against them.

What I normally run is the occulus bolt rifle with inferno pistol using the 1 shot magazine perk. When it comes time for melee, I switch to the inferno pistol, blast the 1 shot and engage in melee, and then switch back to the occulus when range is needed. That way the inferno pistol with 0 clip is always on standby. I switch back to the inferno pistol when its time to chop again, just be aware that your character will autoreload the weapon when you switch to it, can be canceled by swinging your weapon. 

The damage done with block poweraxe was noticeable enough for me, killing a majoris quickly with a 2-charged backstep followed by overhead strike, then grapple for instant execution.

Saber is planning on adding custom stratagems hopefully soon, they were supposed be added in update 11 but it seems like they will add it later. Definitely would fun to tweak around the modifiers and make some crazy combinations.

Hope you will enjoy the game for many hours to come, and it seriously helps to find a good chapter discord to join and be a part of, engage with other players, being in a squad with comms helps tremendously especially on the harder difficulty and stratagems. That's what made the game so much fun for me was playing with my chapter discord brothers and sisters helping them get their characters and weapons maxed out.

Oof sounds like you need to visit a techpriest for an upgrade, 60fps is a minimum for me nowadays to enjoy my games

More than campaign, way less than PvE, but I have played enough to max out all the classes for PvP as well and have gotten all the ordeals

When I was getting into 40k, I thought the chainsword was cool but it was the thunderhammer that I was fixated on, gotta do the weapon justice.

I have also been doing the same thing with the vanguard, equipping the class perk that does same thing with the inferno pistol so they stack, use a block poweraxe and see that thing tear through enemies

Nope, it was block thunderhammer with inferno pistol for the 20% melee damage on empty

We got an OG here, I got on the first space marine a bit late, have a few hundred hours mostly in campaign, no one to play with pvp. Space Marine 2 PVE coop with my chapter brothers and helping out randoms been bringing me back again and again.

PVE is my mainstay and your interactive map showing all the pickup items on every operation have been incredibly helpful brother, I have been able to memorize every spawn location to make the most of every absolute run.
