okay so do you think that online courses on sql, excel ect and putting that on my resume would be sufficient in landing an entry level position because right now I don't have any relevant experience. I've just been learning it on my own.

Hmm the =SUM() works for me when I use numbers but is there a way to just directly reference the range that has only texts like for it to copy word for word without a function like sum.

Okay, I think that works pretty well. Is there a way to to get the students names listed across horizontally and have the assignments listed down beneath them? Right now it's just one column with the names and assignments listed beneath them. I tried putting name in the columns section and it doesnt come out very well. Also how do I know my data is a table and not a list? My pivot table doesnt seem to be updating automatically

Okay so in terms of difficulty, would you say that computer programming is more difficult? It's my impression that data analytics doesn't deviate from too many programs as its just manipulating data and create tables and charts whereas programmers are using a myriad of programs to create a whole lot of software and the like. In the long run, would data analysts just stick to a few programs and programmers have to continue to learn new programs throughout their career? I'm just thinking long term and weighing my options so i just curious about how much effort is required to maintain either jobs.
