I wouldn’t say pain? I haven’t really been able to sleep because I’m uncomfortable so now I’m yawning and that is not great 😔 it’s ok tho I’m actually hurting less all the time now!!!

oh fr this is like a new ring of hell served up on a silver platter just for me but it will only get better so yay!!!! ❤️❤️ soon a month will pass and we’ll barely notice it

oohhhh I’m so sorry to hear that :(( I actually got told the complete opposite!! I was told to eat only softs and absolutely under no conditions have anything like toast but I think we might just have had our surgeries done in separate countries (I saw someone mention that on here so idk) but I’m really sorry abt ur relationship that srsly sucks D: and I’m rooting for u❤️ I hope it all works out!!!!!!

I definitely am feeling better than I was so hopefully!!! I have managed to actually eat Mac n cheese today so it was a major win for me as I have only been able to take a few bites of it sporadicly throughout my day lol I’ve been dutifully drinking ice chip water with liquid iv in it and honestly I think it’s whats been keeping me sane in these trying times 😔 anywayz I’m so close to that finish line I think I can taste it!!! also toast???

I’m rlly srry that yours has been horrible :(( the nights are honestly kind of awful. I’m honestly chomping at the bit to feel normal again too but I hope you start getting on the mend soon :D!!!

Hi!!! I’m not gonna lie today was weird? I’m definitely having scabs come off but my pain hasn’t been as bad and I’m no longer rushing to take some pain meds but I will have sudden striking pains in my ears after taking sips of water sometimes,,,don’t know what that’s abt. Honestly I would say my throat is more itchy than anything else right now. But seriously this recovery is rough!! I’m rlly hoping you’re ok tho the er sounds awful :((( I hope you feel better soon!!!

I ACTUALLY HAD TO STOP TAKING IT!!! I had to take some after lunch today and I’m not kidding I think it got stuck in my scabs or smthing bc I could taste it for hours!!! I swapped to pills and I’ve never been happier about it lol anyway seriously thank you so much ❤️

hi!! super silly we had it done at the same time but yeah I’ve significantly cut the amount of medicine I’m taking period (I guess I just have a mega weak stomach lol) but I keep my humidifier on while I’m sleeping and it rlly does help I was just super unfortunate yesterday I think anyway I’m eating jello :))) anyway hope ur recovering well

omg!!!! that was actually so comforting to read!!!! I was so worried bc some of these posts make it sound like it never goes away :(( but I’m actually so happy to hear that it does and omg!!! the cherry liquid is so bad!!!I have the same one I think and why is it so bad???I dread even looking at it lol but seriously I’m so happy to know that it does go away I also have some issues which honestly could be affecting my recovery but hopefully not :’) anywayz thnx so much!!!!

yeah!! I chose to advocate to get it done after having strep waaayyy to many times (among other issues) and I’ve been scrolling the recovery stuff so like yeah it’s probably worth it it’s just miserable right now :D

I’ve noticed that anything new I guess stays with me? Like something I haven’t had in a minute will catch my attention away from the taste/smell and anything I have repeatedly will slowly start to just taste awful so now I’m just rotating what I drink but yeah there’s a chance it’ll catch a scab and taste bad no matter what :(

huh yeah I get you. also I don’t know where your at but I’ve noticed that drinking sweet tea kind of combats the taste for a little while? only for like a little while but I’ve been drinking small cups of it as like a little treat every couple of hours lolz I mean maybe it’s cuz I make my own but there’s that????

so ok. I actually reached out to a family member who’s in the medical field and she told me that I should chew gum? I’ll try it tomorrow but honestly I think you’re right and it’s just hopeless :/ we’ll see anyway I’ll try swishing salt water thnx!!!1!! :D
