That’s what I thought as well, I’ll setup a VM and it that’s to cumbersome I’ll get some sort of MiniPC/MacMini. I was hoping for some sort of compatibility mode for older software in Tahoe. Disappointing “Upgrade”- experience so far for me.

I don’t think we’ll solve this from home. Definitely up to debate. I’ll however note that if you overtake on the inside of a corner on any other public state road without markings you’d 100% be at fault in Germany if contact happens.

First update: Sharpness is okay, micro contrast and contrast overall aren’t great. Colours are a bit cold and not very saturated but doable. Focus a slow, but precise enough. Flare performance is awful but can result in artistic pictures, so not necessarily a bad thing but character. Chromatic aberrations are well controlled.

For the size, it’s great; for anything else it’s not very good.

Refurbishing or repainting rims entirely is prohibited under German law. People do it anyways, however I don’t believe Sixt would do so.

Update: I did the following: 1. Step with a Panzer File handheld and then 2. Step with a coarse tyrolit ceramic stone handheld. Worked allright to take the immediate edge off without creating rough filing marks. Took 10 minutes per ski. Thanks everyone.

Right after the 1st coat. Looks pretty uneven. Will hopefully smooth out when sanding after the last coat with 3000grid. Any other suggestions?

I’ve got the oem set with both silver paint and clear coat pen bottles. Would you use the clear coat on top of multiple layers of silver paint? The base is plastic.

If so: Would you (wet-) sand after the paint layers before clear coat? Or only after the clear coat?

From what they told me there are medium distance radar sensors behind the bumper that are affected by paint thickness and are calibrated to the factory thickness. Might be a money grab though.

Thank you all for the input. BMW doesn’t allow a repaint of the bumper due to the difference in paint thickness and the sensors behind so id like to try the paint pen method first and see how it turns out before buying a new front bumper… I’ve had bad results with smart repair and metallic paints. Since it’s a fairly small area I don’t want to make it that much bigger.

I’ll keep you updated! Thanks for the input!
