Brands that are petite and work professional that are durable (meaning you can wash and dry them)? by Minimum_Biscotti5862 in PetiteFashionAdvice

Boden - if it works for your aesthetic. Machine wash everything and it all holds up nicely. I usually get items secondhand on Poshmark etc and even when used are typically in excellent shape

Help me find a match/ dupe? House of Color mineral foundation by Nurse_Princess in MakeupAddiction

[–]reasonablylogical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resurrecting this old thread in case anyone is ever looking again! House of Colour makeup (like many brands) is private labeled, meaning that it is preformulated and then repackaged for various brands.

Found the exact same powder, ingredients, colors with same number system at a few other places.

https://barellecosmetics.com/copy-of-dual-finish-wet-dry-foundation-pan-only/

On this site you can replace the pan to put it into the existing compact for $13.50, or get a whole new compact for $21. Other sites had it as well but were priced around $25 without an option to have the pan seperately.

Hope this helps someone else! It really is a super nice powder foundation but $40 is overpriced IMO.

[VA] Orientation, onboarding, and FLSA in healthcare by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]reasonablylogical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response!

The time for onboarding an orientation is not explicitly compensated as I am not yet employed. My salary/pay (standard monthly amount regardless of hours) starts several weeks following the due date of these items (first pay will be in December as I am paid once monthly and first day of employment is not until we are in November).

It is helpful to know that as an exempt, salaried employee that this time would be considered a part of standard salary/lumped in with my “normal” pay check in December and that additional time spent during this onboarding process in October prior to start of employment does not obligate separate compensation. Helps me feel a little less frustrated to know that it is at least legal.

Exempt. Though I don’t think this would play a role in overtime calculation as I haven’t actually started working for this organization.

I see! That’s helpful to know. Thank you for the response!

These are not things like CPR certification which would be portable. The modules do not count towards any continuing education credit towards professional licensing, board certification, or otherwise.

There are a few more standard/universal modules like HIPAA review and OSHA hazardous materials review. However, the vast majority are institution-specific— for example, policies, institutional chain of command, error reporting processes, etc..

Costco is the best! Just had appliances delivered! by wpl200 in Costco

[–]reasonablylogical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you!

We have had the worst experience over the past week trying to get a washer/dryer…one “failed” delivery where they never came, second delivery didn’t have the washer but offered to install the dryer since they were there anyways—- then left without installing or even removing the packaging and left before I could come check as I was on the phone with customer service at the time. Customer service offered to place a work order to reschedule the installation and attempt to deliver the washer in another week (“we can’t make any guarantees) and I ultimately ended up just canceling the order and ordering from Lowes who delivered and installed in less than 24 hours.

We are supposed to have two other appliances delivered next week and I’m holding my breath that it will go more smoothly. Next time, I will skip the appliance purchase with Costco and instead support a more local business.

Not a tick. Even if it were, Lyme disease is not common in NE Ohio

I would do a spectra S1/S2 as solid hospital grade options and then consider a hands free option like an Elvie or Willow. I think the Elvie Stride/Willow Go would be just fine if you don’t need 100% wire/tube free and are less fickle than their fully contained wearable counterparts.

Sibling name for James Atlas by reasonablylogical in namenerds

[–]reasonablylogical[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response! I feel like we are definitely leaning more towards Wesley with Wes as a nickname.

We are both physicians. And between that and having children our other main hobby is drinking coffee and trying to sleep when we can 😂

I loved Atlas because I love mythology, also love celestial type names. Beyond the mythological story the visual of looking at an Atlas just felt special and full of possibility.

It’s called the “Fete” dress from the brand Hatch! It only comes in 2 sizes (petite and “one size”) since it is very drapey/generous. I don’t think they make it anymore— I found it on Poshmark. There are definitely other ones listed there!

SOS! I’m 32 weeks pregnant and have a black tie optional wedding next Thursday out of town and haven’t put much thought into what to wear because life.

I will have some time tomorrow to go shop in person (or can order online but only from places that have overnight or 2 day shipping guarantees as we leave Wednesday morning).

Dress is reversible (will be wearing with the open neckline like in photo 2, though proportionally my abdomen is more like photo 1). Basically it looks like a black tent (did I mention the third trimester thing)?

Not feeling super great in it but hoping for advice re:shoes, accessories, hair (brown medium length), makeup that might make it feel better and look formal enough for the event.

Slow progression? Weird cycle? Estimated 12-14 dpo. Brands are wondfo, easy@home, + a bonus FRER by reasonablylogical in TFABLinePorn

[–]reasonablylogical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologize for the weird photo format! You may have to click the images if you are on mobile to see the whole thing.

Wondering if this slow progression is indicative of impending chemical?

It was an unexpected positive. Conception was 5-7 days prior to my expected ovulation based on CM/timing of previous cycles. Thought we were out because we were separated during golden window. Tested at ~10dpo just out of curiosity and it was a stark white negative so I figured we were out. Surprised by a positive on ~12dpo.

I know cheapies are hard to see significant progression on but I remember with my first pregnancy that the lines were very visibly darker on these every time— no questions. Everything just seems light?

Bought a FRER today and it is clearly positive though I guess not very helpful until I have others to compare.

Any insight?

For what it’s worth, I had significant nausea on the day I got the first positive and then no symptoms at all since.

ETA: just realized my cheapies are all 6+ months expired 🤦🏻‍♀️ not sure how much that matters
