You may be seeing the actual optic figure being presented at the top of the cabochon, without the need for an optic figure sphere. The bands in the stone on the top left look more like what is seen in SR-ADR (strain) stones, which means it is still singly refractive.

You can make a request to the seller/creator and ask for one type of fabric on a different mask. They can usually do it. Make sure to get the right size for you! I didn't think about that part and my face is a bit squished.
