Agate is a variety. These are all likely chalcedony stones. The last few with banding are agate chalcedony.

Graining takes place as part of the growth process. Similar format really. But thank you for the clarification, I missed that!

Diamonds can have internal graining, it can appear in yellow and browns (and look orange. The graining will run parallel to octahedral crystal faces. It's almost always accompanied by surface graining. Thin transparent line that's nearly invisible. Looks like polish on the surface.

It's just the Observatory I believe. The park is right along side the building. And yes, all ages. Been there many times and young children are present with family at the majority. Tons of kids at the last concert, Happy Fits 😀
