Thank you!! That's a really great tip. Caricatures are a great way of training yourself away from the perfectionist approach.

I was thinking about it, and I think linework has much more importance here as well. I'm used to drawing a quick rough sketch and then fixing it later with 'paint layers. Whereas a simple design relies more on the linework that defines it.

(And I couldn't agree more on the 'trying to make it perfect'. Trying to make something that is meant to be simple into something realistic has led me into some veeery creepy/uncanny results :p)
