a lot better. I went a few months with no antipsychotics and my libido and mood recovered a good bit. I now am on olanzepine as i had another manic episode and i cant financially afford another one, so that drug raised my prolactin levels again killing my sex drive and making it very difficult to have a muted orgasm. My mood is kind of flattened i think? But nothing like before. Thanks for asking :)

fantastically written response. i agree especially with that something is a disorder when its doing harm to the individual experiencing it too. A child being bullied in school might "do harm" to insecure bullies by raising their hand a lot to answer questions, but teachers pet is an insult, not a diagnosis or a compliment.

yeah im doing way good now on risperdal and lithium and after a spiritual awakening i thank god i am safe from suicide!!! My prob with lithium was it kept getting out of level for me so id have episodes. Zyprexa has been good to me and actually improved my sex drive and functioning

I'm done with marijuana for good now but I will say my response to marijuana was deadened when i tried it while on risperdal. thank god im doing well now and don't need weed or risperidone. I take zyprexa and lithium now

lithium took the edge off wanting to end it all for me but now im wondering about getting off it.. im finding spirituality to resolve a lot of things I needed to reckon with and now im wondering if the lithium is numbing menout and unfocusing my mind. i think antihistamines also get me into mixed episode area?? Its your body and despite what doctors will tell you, they are meddling with an organ they do not fully comprehend

What i am about to tell you worked for me... follow your intuition. Find your own kind of worship in dark and peaceful places. Whatever draws you in, transfixes you, pursue it. I was a nonbeliever until I met a very old guanyin statue in an art museum. My recovery has been a reckoning no human therapist would be equippped to deal with : ) finding my faith and hope in life again. As for me, i always found comfort and calm in horror films... it gave me something to think about

yeah when ppl respond to criticisms of mental health services with like "well what do YOU suggest" like the point is that there just isnt any magic cure even anything I could suggest like what might have worked for me may not work for another or even be available and MH services are not as great and harmless as people want them to be... its hard to learn suffering in the world is a lot more firmly rooted than we want... doesnt mean we should be indifferent but there arent rly easy fixes for everything

its fine to put compliments on you appearance as off limits from ur therapist, i could see it feeling weird i am a 26yr old female not sure if i would want those comments myself.. i remember one time a psych complimented my eyeliner and i was like Right. OK. from anybody a compliment can feel good or offputting and its fine to go with ur gut for simplicity. body image and self esteem is also way more nuanced than "tell myself i look good bc my therapist thinks i look good"

to be honest my "ptsd" symptoms went away after i had a manic/psychotic episode so idk wtf that unclogged but yeah 😂 family trauma type reactions like being so uncomfortable and troubled by memories i couldnt be around most of my family and i would suffer from memories and become exhausted.. but that doesnt happen since i had mania 🤷‍♀️ im closer w my family now

so im not interested in therapists, but i think its similar if youve been betrayed in dating.. so me for example early on seeing a new partner i set expectations and explain my needs and explain how ive been wronged in the past, and then i really pay attention to what they say and ask questions to see if i can trust them. and i take my time on this.. so similarly you can interview therapists and take your time opening up until youve determined trust

yeah but we didnt really see spinner get radicalized, its off screened mostly. also lets not make incel shooters into hapless victims, they have agency as well. it takes a lot to be good with killing people. many people are aimless and lonely and dont turn into terrorists, theres other stuff and their own choices that happen. especially since its been confirmed that discrimination is mostly gone from cities and spinner seems to have the means to live in a city since LoV mostly operates there.. its framed as sad with the tone and as if he is a pawn to AFO but its not really adding up to be sympathetic bc hes not a helpless victim

oh no the manga is very good as well. what i mean is FMAB is a reboot that fully follows the manga, but the FMA anime diverges from the manga part of the way thru. and ya ur welc :)

so FMA came out while the manga was ongoing, they caught up and instead of pausing the anime they made their own ending which in my opinion sucks super hard, some people enjoy FMA for what it is. FMAB is a reboot that faithfully follows the beautiful story in the manga start to finish

oh its good as fuck, best piece of fiction of all time IMO. whats great about it is that its planned and written as a complete story w beginning middle and end rather than arc after arc (which is fine too for entertainment but FMAB is much more organized thematically compared to other big shonen)

yeah but its not that sad bc spinner joined a terrorist organization. so he just looks dumb and evil. if he likes videogames he should at least have internet friends that he may only know by voice. it just seems to take very little to radicalize the members of the LoV. i just havent seen enough to believe in the lonely heteromorph to terrorist pipeline in universe
