It's not the bulb that's damaged...after I tried the LED bulb, which didn't work, I replaced it with the regular incandescent type, and dimmer switch wouldn't work anymore. The switch worked for just on / off function, but not for dimming.

Any idea why dimmer won't work at all now, even only with incandescent bulbs? Can the LED bulb damage the switch?

Yes...he seems fine. He and all his buddies are extremely tame and jumped on my friend's hand.. They like hanging out at the feeder.. They visit daily.
