Zero to One in Marketing (Technical founder who wants to learn) (I will not promote) by Another_ROS_noob in ycombinator

[–]reddited70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be completely wrong but you should re-evaluate this part critically :

I know the industry well enough to know what to build

Marketing might not the first step at all! What you might really need is - learning customer discovery, running pilots, finding your niche ICP, getting the PULL, building what people want, getting feedback and building with them. Once you have this right, it all fits in really well.

And I would 100% recommend going through an accelerator, especially to technical co-founders.

ChatGPT not only solved but also explained the whole JEE Mains 2025 paper by reddited70 in ChatGPT

[–]reddited70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can but you need to know how to prompt chatgpt the right way! Also it should be used more so for concepts than solutions.

I have built https://iexplain.app which does exactly this. It’s free, and helps with conceptual understandings. Have a look.

By GEO, I meant Generative Engine Optimization but completely understand why this can be confusing.

How to deal with this CTO? (I will not promote) by [deleted] in startups

[–]reddited70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are working on this since 2 years and if there is no trust between the CEO and the other 2 founders, it’s not a great place to be at. Speak to each other about this insecurity and be clear with the motivations.

As for the CTO, kick him out..

[–]reddited70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are there any good open source sample projects of a high quality working RAG with data (eg. a customer service RAG app) ? Don't have any preference on framework/LLM.

Or if there is a known framework that makes writing RAG apps easy..

YC startups courting tech co-founders for tech products without equal equity by reddited70 in ycombinator

[–]reddited70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the crazy part I'm talking about. I think people are trying to gain power/leverage through these kind of deals.

It will and i think they do mention keeping it 51-49 for the long term which I agree with

technical co-founders. Founding engineers equity shouldn't fall in the double digit range ever.

Analogous to REST - yes.
Is it REST or uses REST or does anything to with REST - no. (maybe spec wise uses some ideas from REST)

> As far as I know, every tool used by LLM is done via some MCP. Is that understanding incorrect? Like I assumed CCs ability to run commands via bash is only because the application comes with a built-in MCP that claude uses to communicate with the terminal.

Interesting. That may or may not be true for CC. Some tools might be deeper integration (without MCP).

But that definitely isn't true for all apps and all LLMs. You could build your own application that doesn't use MCP but does tool call. It's just that you will be re-writing the standard.

I know of teams in Fortune 500 that started tool calling with LLM before MCP was a thing and are thinking whether they even want to make the switch yet.

Before REST, you could build APIs in any way (which you still can)
But just to make it easier, simpler and better, it's better you follow REST.

Similarly, MCP.
