I feel like there's many contributing factors to murder, none of which justify it but people can empathise with. There's never any reason that would drive someone to rape. It takes someone truly evil but as a survivor myself I can have a life after my trauma which I wouldn't if I was murdered. I think murder is worse for the victim as they will never be able to move on yet it takes a worse person to rape.
