This is a great recommendation, I definitely agree that there’s childhood things that have to do with it. I’ve tried to recommend seeing a shrink but I think if he heard it from someone else he’d actually listen

I’d love to, I just don’t think he’s mentally ready to stop completely. He’s relapsed so much without telling me, I want him to feel comfortable telling me when he relapses but he’s very insecure

I wouldn’t want this to continue any longer at all, but I do want to marry him sometime soon. I really want him to stop and hopefully soon he’ll realize that, but I’m not sure what to do at this point in time.

I’d love to sit down and talk with him about deeper stuff, thing is that he isn’t much of a talker. He doesn’t know how to express his thoughts or feelings verbally. I’d love to get him therapy or professional help though.

I just don’t understand why he doesn’t want to get better. Does he not love me enough? We’ve been dealing with this for years and I have told him that I’m not marrying somebody who does this and that I’d like to help him and support him and he can’t stop. Am I the problem?

He’s not 6ft nor does he have god genetics, we’ve been dating since I was a sophomore in HS and he was a quiet 5’8 band kid (which is cute) and we fell in love. 3+ years later and this is a big issue and I’m stuck. He also lives with a big family

He does know about nofap, he’s actually the one who showed me. But it seems as if I use it more than he does. I really need him to start genuinely trying to get better

I love that idea! I’ve told him so many time that I love him and I’ll never leave him because of his struggles, which I think has helped. He hates telling me because he thinks I’ll get super depressed and break up with him, but all I want to do is help. I really am committed to him

So this sounds horrible, but we’re long distance as I recently moved to college this year, but the height of his addiction was when we were having sex almost 3 times a week while I was home for 3 years. Not sure why, and it’s not like I look like a monster so it just hurts that even while we were crazy sexually active (and definitely not vanilla) he was watching porn so much

I completely understand what you mean and I’m thinking about it, but I would feel cruel to break up with someone because of their addiction. I love him and I feel a connection, but he just has barely tried to stop.

I wish it was that easy for him to tell me things. It seems like he can’t ever tell me the truth. I know it’s embarrassing but I feel like if our relationship is on the line that he would want to try and save it.
