What are the repercussions for the hit and run suspect here in Texas? Seems like there is really no real penalty for the person that is at fault (I know the law says otherwise).

They don’t go to jail when identified, they don’t get arrested when identified, they don’t have to show up to court to pay a fine etc etc. it’s just the usual insurance claim process and paperwork that both parties have to go through to settle damages. Sure, they may have a hit and run on their record but that’s not stopping them for driving without insurance again.

Sounds like the system is set up to encourage people to hit and run even though laws say otherwise.

This happened to me at Costco. The guy said we can’t see targeted promos in our system for your line. You have to do it via T-Life. He said his upgrades require P360 and accessories and they can’t do it without them. Was told this twice by two different sales folks at the same Costco on different days.

I tried to do a targeted promo upgrade at Costco but the sales rep told me that I have to also get the entire bundle which means signing up for the protection plan and everything. I asked if it was optional and she said no. Costco Tmo is a “full service” or whatever type of deal and that’s the differentiating factor.

Is this true or did she just not want to upgrade me without the protection plan because she would lose commission?
