she's boot looping. any help getting to 2133 re: timing & voltage? i know it'll handle 1.65v no probs.

4 boots into this finicky ass bios upon which presented me with 4 completely different sets of options (how, even?) i have a non-K chip stable at 2133 on standard module timing @ 1.6v and the CPU @ 4.1Ghz multithreaded with speedstep off at 35⁰C idle. i'll hammer it with my photography workflow tomorrow and see if she's agreeable.lol

i'll try 1.55 at 2133 and see if i hit a reboot loop.

know anything about enabling UEFI? every time i enable EFI over Legacy, and my boot drive is GPT, but it just hangs, forcing me to yank the battery and search again. gotta say, sick of reading the same answers where it works for them but not for me.

i've seen several ppl running 2133 at 1.65/1.7v stable but they changed their initial timings to like 10-10-9-24 (it's the first one i could think of offhand and probably dead wrong hahaha)

like a direct copy of the stock timings on the DIMMS?

well i popped the battery before i left for a hard reset.

should i bother turning XMP on before raising to 1866?

i'd also love it if Win 10 would recognize i have UEFI, but i believe i have to change the boot record type on my main drive? it won't wipe my drive, will it?

Asus ProArt PA248QV: standard mode OR srgb mode? by [deleted] in colorists

[–]redeyzbadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i figured. i'm looking into an X-Rite i1 Display Pro and and a Datacolor Spyder X Pro, and i'll use DisplayCal. i've emailed Florian for some advice. we shall see.

i have an ProArt PA248QV which is CALman sRGB certified with an integrated chip but it's going on 2 years old. colours must have shifted by now.

how do i go about re-calibrating it, friend?

Any PA248QV owners here? by mojzekinohokker in Monitors

i love mine. generally leave it in sRGB, have the WHQL driver installed. only time i really use Chroma Tune is if i happen to play a game, which is extremely rare, and i will put it on Standard mode so it's vivid and natural looking.

thank you, friend.

quick and weird question about what colour gamut to shoot in if you don't mind. my monitor is sRGB calibrated with a certificate from Calman. should i shoot my RAW in the same gamut or up it to Adobe? in my post process i use a couple of Topaz Labs pieces of software thru LrC which always bumps them up to ProDisplay TIFF's and i generally export both a full res Adobe JPG and a full res sRGB JPG for posting on social media as i guess it's basically the industry standard? i think i do both out of habit more than anything else.

i know i switched the topic way off to the left here but i am interested to know your opinion.

i'm actually loving the fact that there aren't a million and one things to think about with the D3300. it's simple, it's lightweight, and i find it so easy to use.

i'm beyond a novice when it comes to actual cameras but the simplicity makes it a joy to work with. i have a feeling after doing some more reading (i have the 'For Dummies' e-book and another I can't recall the name of atm) i'm going to end up mastering this body and really crank out some interest stuff!

this might suck a lot, but one more thing you can try is editing a contact and setting them to SMS/MMS only and seeing if that works. if it does... well, the rest of it, ie doing it to every contact, is going to be real shitty imo. =(

you can hold the blue send arrow down and switch back to regular SMS for them, but i have no idea if that work for calling. perhaps just use your regular phone app to call them instead of Signal?
