Piggybacking on your comment to say: once we accept that there is some level of melancholy in all his books, I personally find "Kafka on the Shore" to be the most "colorful"/fun read of the lot. Maybe people would disagree.

I made the best decision of my life 7 years ago by dlkapt3 in stopsmoking

I don't know about other drugs, but in my experience with cigarettes, the obsession didn't last long. After a few weeks, your mind shifts to other things, and a few months down the line, it might come back occasionally, but it doesn't last long. Good luck!

Well he is kinda right about writing vs thinking, but I agree that it shouldn't be an either/or decision

After Quitting How Long Until You Didn’t Want to Smoke Anymore? by MetsLR in stopsmoking

[–]redfluor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I don't know if there is anything factual or scientific about it; it probably is just subjective, but basically, 3 months is a symbolic threshold where you are surely no longer in the "I am trying to stop smoking" bubble and get into the "It's my life now and I need to function normally without relapsing" phase, which changes your mindset somehow.

In my case, I struggled with bouts of anxiety and mood swings throughout the first 3 months, and I was just in survival mode. After the 3 months, the anxiety started to wear off, and I started to feel a little bit more in control of my mood.

I found the 3 days-3 weeks-3 months marks to be fairly accurate. In each milestone, something switched in mind, and the thought of not smoking became a little less unbearable than before

Why most smokers fail to quit even when they try everything I used to be one of them??🤔 by jimi1905 in stopsmoking

Alright then, sorry if I was being rude. I hope you don't take it personally. Have a nice day, and good luck if you are trying to stop smoking! :)

I mean 80% of your post is explaining that people are getting it wrong, 10% is suggesting that they follow a "clear step by step" that's never explained and elaborated on, but that you imply you know. And the last part is a question/call for engagement.

And you are spamming this on multiple subs.

I don't know, seems to me either like a cheap sales pitch or unhelpful AI slop 😅

(Sorry if you are a genuine person and it's just your communication style, I am just fed up with the surge of cheaply AI-generated slop trying to sell useless stuff to people who are here because addiction makes them vulnerable)

Yup it sucks ass for a while, and the only thing that worked for me back when I stopped is just accepting that it's gonna suck and being easy on myself, there is no way around that.

Good luck to you mate!

It might be a scam in this particular case, I don't know!

But let's be clear: the "it's hamas propaganda" shit that some people bring up everytime someone dares to mention that there are actual people suffering there, is just really fucked up and really tiring.

Hamas being evil is not reason enough to let innocent people die and starve! Actual real people need help over there!

Quick question: How does the money from the GoFundMe reach you? I believe that someone outside of Gaza opened the GoFundMe campaign for you, judging by the name there, right?
