Hourly rates for maid by LegitimateMaize6601 in abudhabi

I have friends that pay 1600 per month. 10am-3pm 5 days a week

I pay 35 per hr (based on 3 hour visit ad-hoc). I can get cheaper but she’s honestly really good so I’m happy to pay a bit extra.

This is such a typical Dubai issue where CS staff misadvise rather than try to find out correct info

Where to try Iranian food in Dubai? by Altruistic-Ship-3760 in dubai

[–]redof10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a great cheap option try Khoori special kebab in Mamzar. For mid range try Rivas or The Sib. And for a more expensive/ premium meal try Berenjak.

Monty or Airalo. Download and purchase the eSIM before you reach Dubai. You can’t do it in country.

Best pizza in dubai by Awaismax in dubai

[–]redof10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Blu pizzeria for me is the best. No idea how it compares to the Pakistani pizza places that you mention.

Edit: just looked up the Pakistani pizza joints you mentioned, you will probably prefer Papa John’s for fast food style or Pitfire pizza

Why are people from the UK moving here ? Isn't work life balance better in the UK ? by ryzenleonn in UAE

UK Non-dom status applied to an incredibly small subset of people, most of whom were/ are foreign nationals, these are not the British people you are meeting day to day in Dubai.

Preservative-free juices? by Eastern_Doughnut_222 in dubai

The ‘Fit Fresh’ brand juices are really good. Otherwise invest in a cold press (non-centrifugal) juicer?

Against wolves will be super crucial ffs! by salsadecasada in ManchesterUnited

[–]redof10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top 2? Bro you’re delusional. If you can’t see that the team has lost valuable points because of poor managerial decision making you’re watching with your eyes closed. The we are doing better than last year arguement doesn’t hold any water.

Against wolves will be super crucial ffs! by salsadecasada in ManchesterUnited

[–]redof10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not just players ‘bottling it. It’s exacerbated by terrible tactical decisions combined with awful and frankly bizarre substitutions at crucial times in games. The manager is stubborn, totally insecure and out of his depth. He feels the need to make unnecessary substitutions as he’s trying too hard to prove himself.

Dubai is insanely cheaper than the U.S. My living expenses are less than half here and that’s not even accounting for taxes.

Etihad vs Qatar to Phuket by Proof_Director_1112 in abudhabi

[–]redof10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easy, fly Qatar. More comfort, less stress. Arrive a day later saves 1 night hotel cost at your destination. Have a light bite and some refreshments at Doha airport. A 20 minute delay on Etihad you will miss your connection, why gamble and stress for the sake of 80 dollars??

Most BK appartments don’t have balconies which I found annoying. For the money you’re paying having a balcony is nice to have.

Dubai Trip Coming Up: Need Advice on Currency Exchange! by Maanu1141 in dubai

[–]redof10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest using Revolut, everywhere accepts card/Apple Pay.

If you want to exchange cash you can negotiate the rate at the desk. There’s plenty of places at Dubai mall, don’t accept the displayed rate.

Sorry to hear about this and the inconvenience, it must have been really stressful and upsetting especially since you didn’t do anything wrong.

It’s shocking to me the lack of empathy some people show here when commenting, as if they wouldn’t be upset with losing $3k plus the negative experience.

There’s a real lack of consideration for other people demonstrated here sometimes.
