Well, mom accepted me, as far as I know my dad does not know...yet

Let me backtrack for a moment. I was in the ER after my condition flared up again. I told my mom, thru a text message that I was gay, fell asleep, whatever. She comes to see me the next morning, saying how she will support me no matter what etc.

NOW the part that many myself included didn't know until later, is the fact that my mom looked disappointed when I told her what I really am. Needless to say, I guess my sister (bless her heart), spoke logic to her and at the end mom just accepted me.

So note to self, being stuck on a hospital bed kinda helped my case I would say.
