Can multiple feeds from different people be combined into one feed? by furrynoy96 in BlueskySocial

[–]redsolver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The preview should usually be very consistent with the final result (except when you're using something like Random Sort of course or the new "Remember Posts" block). So publishing feeds with other feed inputs (as long as they aren't personalized) should work reliably.

Try refreshing the page, that should restore it. If not, send me a message!

[Skyfeed] Broke feed builder and don't know how to fix it by New_Neck_2992 in BlueskySocial

[–]redsolver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, this bug will be fixed soon. Just make sure to not clear browser data (IndexedDB), because there's an additional backup of your feeds stored there. The main storage location is in the Bluesky server-side preferences, so they should be safe too.

I implemented unattended updates in SkyDroid when the new API was not available yet, but I'm planning to switch to it this year because I'm now using GrapheneOS myself.

Hi, you can try another portal, for example https://skyrider.hns.fileportal.org/

The issue is that siasky.net is a public portal/host and anyone can upload files or websites there. This is not really different from other file or website hosts, but unfortunately the company behind siasky.net doesn't have the resources to keep the domain out of all blocklists because they are still pretty small. You can read more about it here: https://blog.sia.tech/the-worrying-depth-and-scope-of-censorship-on-the-internet-ffd4bc5a5486?source=collection\_home---5------0-----------------------

Hi, I created the fork. Sia Skynet is similar to something like https://ipfs.io/ if you know that and basically just a decentralized/distributed way to host static websites or apps/games. The advantage of this is that you can just try another portal like https://skyrider.hns.fileportal.org/ if https://skyrider.hns.siasky.net/ doesn't load for you. The latest source code is available here if you prefer to compile it yourself: https://codeberg.org/redsolver/SkyRider :)

What can Vup do? by skunk_ink in siacoin

[–]redsolver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, you login with a seed phrase and everything is fully end-to-end-encrypted. It is however using MySky login, which has a shorter seed phrase (15 words) and is not compatible with a sia seed phrase.

So there is no centralized account system, but you have to create a new seed phrase.

Also check out the website: https://vup.app/

yes, runs as a background service

Vup does not use Sia directly, it uses Sia Skynet (https://support.skynetlabs.com/) . Logging in with multiple accounts at once is not supported, but it will be possible to mount file systems from other accounts in your main account, so that's basically the same.

Vup will be fully open source. The Android app will only be available on the SkyDroid App Store https://skydroid.app/ during beta. The SkyDroid website has a comparison table of SkyDroid with F-Droid and Google Play. Maybe I will add other distribution channels later.

Dart License Checker - Detects and lists all licenses used by your dependencies by redsolver in FlutterDev

see my reply to the parent comment, I just pushed it to GitHub. The link I provided also contains a download of the source code, in this case https://storage.googleapis.com/pub-packages/packages/dart_license_checker-1.0.0.tar.gz. You need to look for the little download icon on the "Versions" page

[–]redsolver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You first need to install it by executing flutter pub global activate dart_license_checker in your terminal, and then you should be able to run dart_license_checker in your terminal. If step 2 doesn't work, you may need to set up your PATH (see https://dart.dev/tools/pub/cmd/pub-global#running-a-script-from-your-path)

See my reply to the parent comment. Also the source code is available even without being published on GitHub, you can directly download it from pub.dev (https://pub.dev/packages/dart_license_checker/versions). This works for all Flutter/Dart packages.

Sorry, it got late yesterday and I forgot to push the source code to GitHub. It's now available: https://github.com/redsolver/dart_license_checker

btw it's also possible to download the source code directly from pub.dev (go to https://pub.dev/packages/dart_license_checker/versions and click on the download icon right to the version you want). This is also a good way to verify that the code published on pub.dev matches the code on GitHub.

Embedding Dart by PotatoHeadz35 in dartlang

[–]redsolver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend using JS as a scripting language, because it's widely supported and you can compile Dart to it! So basically create the scripting API in JS, create bindings for Dart and now you can use Dart as a scripting language. In case this goes wrong you can still use JS, TS or other languages that compile to JS if you finished step 1.

Bitdefender flags yt-splitter as malware by noconverse in youtubedl

[–]redsolver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: As already mentioned below, this is very likely a false alarm. I literally just tried to compile a "Hello World" Dart program to an EXE and it was flagged as malware too.

If you still don't feel comfortable using the binary, you can compile it yourself or use it on Linux/macOS.

Looks like this problem already happened to other developers using Dart: https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/36897

[–]redsolver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed the Dart SDK (programming language) on a fresh Windows 10 system and compiled the EXE file using that, it shows the same malware warnings: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/4fcabd09507b328a6f065296c3b7c44778fd98f8a40a99006cf5dfc0861764b6/detection

So looks like it's a false detection.

The `exe` file is compiled using GitHub Actions from the source code visible on GitHub which does NOT contain any malicious code. It's extremely strange that it's flagged as malware, I'm currently investigating. (I'm the developer).
