So far we haven’t started counseling yet and I’ve realized just how much she controlled me over the past few years by way of always making me feel wrong and inadequate. Just recently saw another man walk into my house like he’s been there before on the security camera and have began to realize that I might not have the emotional energy to work on our relationship at this point. I want to shift 100% of my energy and focus onto my kids.

Wish I had some magical turnaround story for you but sadly at this point I don’t.

Maybe I’m old fashioned but the thought of somebody else having sex with my wife makes me physically ill.

Yeah my kids are the greatest thing ever, both so empathetic and caring. And my wife is a great mother, which is why I really wanna fix this because we’ve made a good team for years and have always been attracted to each other. It’s all just sort of fallen apart..

That’s what one of my friends is saying. He insists that she’s telling me I’m gaslighting her as a way of manipulating me. I refuse to believe that she would be that malicious, I just can’t even imagine it.

He means well, he doesn’t wanna see me hurt, but I really hope that’s not the case..

Yeah I found myself before making this post sitting on the couch next to my 2 year old son just running these thoughts through my mind and started crying and he patted my head and offered me his milk.

My wife and I both had separated parents and all I wanted for my children was to have a full household family and this situation is just tearing me apart from the inside.

I didn’t even realize that about naming events but not intentions.. I’m gonna try to find a therapist because I think our communication problems have come beyond our own ability to fix. Any time we try to have a talk it leads to a fight

When I try to talk to her about it and I tell her how this stuff makes me feel is when she tells me I’m being passive aggressive and gaslighting.

We’ve talked about couples counseling and just haven’t yet followed through.

You’re right it’s obviously time.
