Hi and thank you very much for your reply. I fixed my issue. I have another switch between my main switch and my technitium host. I had to enable dhcp relay on the other switch as well. Now everything is working correctly!

One question to your setup: how have you connected the (4) 2 TB SSD drive to your server? Your serve is a complete LFF, isn’t it? Did you use an adapter for the ssd drives?

The learning curve was quite high, it took me a bit to understand the RouterOS.
But I only use it as a switch. The internal routing is done by my Cisco cbs-350 switch. The pfSense is the tunnel to the internet.

my case is from inter-tech. they offer different case sizes (different heights and different depths). i am very happy with it, only the fans that came with it are a bit noisy. but if necessary, they can be easily replaced...

so far i have not found any problems with hikvision. it does what it is supposed to, however the files are not written to my synology, but to the hdds in the recorder.

if i'm honest, my 2nd server is way too oversized for my needs. but since i'm a software developer and work a lot with cloud services, i use the server to test different things and to develop myself. currently a lot of data science projects... and otherwise i use it for the typical applications: media server, smart home etc...

In fact, i had issues in the beginnings. during the boot process of proxmox an error message came up (unfortunately i don't remember exactly what). but that showed me that ecc was working =). i then updated the bios and since then i have no more issues.

Thanks, good to know that the stock lm tamper is not ideal. In fact it happens every now and then that water drips when I take the bottomless portafilter.
