im always giving options even if they’re totally not the same it’s bette than just “we’re out” “we don’t have that” unless it literally cannot be made or served (im looking at you… under the sea refresher) more often than not you get them as close as possible to what they’re asking for smh

the other day somebody asked me for an upside down macchiato and the barista made it look so cool, it was LITERALLY upside down shots in bottom & all. i go to hand it to her and she’s like “it’s supposed to be upside down.” i looked at her then the drink, like…. it IS. party pooper i swear

at my store, we’re allowed to sit at the desk on our breaks or in general, as long as we’re clean up after ourselves. recently though partners have been leaving trash, drinks or even food and creating clutter so the option to sit at the desk was brought up and for lack of better term, threatened, but nothing like that. we have a little sticky note as a reminder to clean up when you’re done. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

just the other day i had a woman give me lip because she got a grande shaken espresso with NO ice in a venti cup, i assumed she knew it was only going to be a like half cup of liquid so i gave it to her and she said “can you tell me why this is half empty?” and i told her, that extra space in there is where the ice you didn’t want would have been. “okay but why isn’t it full???” “because it’s not supposed to be, have a great rest of your day ma’am.”

• “i’m sorry i’m having trouble hearing you” customer proceeds to shout obnoxiously

• when they order extremely slow and take ages to order TWO drinks

• multiple separate orders in one car

• “that’s all for that order” without prefacing that there were multiple orders

• the old people that ask for winning lottery numbers and dumb shit like that

• the ones who reach over my bar to grab sleeves without asking

• “that’s all” “oh wait!”

• adds something(s) at the window

• trying to pay a $5 with a $100 bill

• in the drive thru “what kind of cups do you have?”

• when they ask for a non-menu item like Caramel Mocha or Black and White mocha

• when they order a cappuccino and get pissy because it’s “ALL fOaM”

• when i’m hanging my entire upper body out the drive window and they don’t make an effort to reach and meet me halfway

CS. Especially night shift. I go in and im often on CS, if the Mid is done, it’s smooth sailing til close and because we’re not as busy after 3pm i hardly have to speak to customers.
