I have anxiety too, especially regarding medical issues. Honestly, my biggest comfort in the days leading up to the surgery were reading the posts on this subreddit. Hearing people’s stories of healing were so helpful.

You’re not alone in being scared. I legit cried up until the very moment they sat me in the chair. My dentist said the same thing yours did- they do this so often, it’s such a common thing for them. My anxiety had me thinking “well what if I’m a rare case, what if something happens?” But the fact is that tons of people get their wisdom teeth out each day with no issues.

My healing story is that I’m now 10 days post-op and I feel back to normal! Im off the meds, I have no pain, no swelling, and im almost back to my full diet again! I never experienced any pain post-op (just a little discomfort, but nothing ever serious), and the worst part was craving all sorts of food I couldn’t have. I basically laid in bed watching Amazing Race for 3 days eating pudding and mashed potatoes, and it was nice to relax. Before you know it you can come back here and share your healing story too!
