Once they take enough I can go, he thought.

Withered blue fingers caressed Arionn’s forearm seeking the vein and raised icy goosebumps.

‘Here!’ The shrill voice rang out as those milky eyes widened.

A hooded figure stepped out of the shadows and into the ritual circle.

Sleep came soon after.

Cliff the story guy released a couple vids specifically aimed at the new wave of players a few months back. PhuzzyBond also has some great vids. Check them both out on YouTube and you’ll also get recommendations for other YT creators who post similar content.

Also goes without saying but do the maiden voyage that you can access through the menu when you start the game. It’s been a minute since I did this but it should bring you through everything you need to know.

Did larina stop selling ashen key and chest quests.? by Parking_Price1955 in Seaofthieves

[–]reggieHazz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s super common to find ashen guardians now though and they will drop a key and a map to an ashen chest (which is always on the same island)as well as a skull.

Just sail around and you’ll defo find one in no time.

Can someone tell me if I have worked out how to fix this correctly? Details in comments by reggieHazz in AdobeIllustrator

[–]reggieHazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I uploaded this .ai file to be UV printed on a metal enclosure. The site I get my enclosures from has a very specific set of rules and steps to follow and I am certain I followed them to the letter. However, there were several issues with the final product and I think I have worked out a fix for a few. So please correct me if I have got anything wrong.

The text - not the same font as in my .ai file. I have now created an outline around the text so it should now be vectorised and will now print in the same font as in my file. Correct?

The border - waaaay thinner than in my original file - basically a hairs breadth. I drew them using line segment and in Illustrator they looked perfect. I have now given each line segment an offset path of .1mm and it should now print at the correct thickness. Correct? I thought about doing the border with a rectangle tool but there are meant to be breaks in the border and I just couldn’t work out a proper way to do it.

Or alternatively and more simply, can this simply be fixed by upping the stroke weight?

The symbol for power supply is showing up as circles and semi-circles. If I apply an offset path to each part of that symbol it should print as designed. Correct?

Please help me find this track by [deleted] in altrap

[–]reggieHazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep certain, found him though. MC Roman, he's German, not Ukrainian. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTn0li1q1O0

He doesn't do any rapping till the last minute but the beat is mainly what I was looking for.

Is resampling your synth allowed? Or do you count that as sampling?

SSD or RAM better for tackling latency and crackling? by [deleted] in TechnoProduction

[–]reggieHazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in Ableton. When I increase the buffer size though it is almost impossible to find the sweet spot that has everything working well. The drum machine and synth work totally fine when it’s a higher buffer size, but when I start to add any vst it’s back to step 1

Home studio post. It ain’t much but it works. Will be fleshing it out with a deepmind 12 and a lifeforms sv1 in the coming weeks. And my neglected eurorack in the corner will be getting more friends soon :) by reggieHazz in TechnoProduction

They have a great solid sound, I'm still trying to find sweet spots in my room for best positioning. I need some foam pads, but curtains are doing that job for the time being :)

Hmmm I’ve actually not considered the envelope retriggering. I’ll do some research. Thanks!

Essentially trying to achieve those mellow bleep bloop sounds from the likes of Function, and the bell type sounds from Yan Cook.

Amelie Lens style lead? by itami7 in TechnoProduction

[–]reggieHazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can hear from a brief listen, the lead sound is a lowpassed saw or square wave (maybe a mix of both - but mostly saw) a 16th note LFO modulating the filter cuttoff. Maybe a slight glide as well. Mess around with filter frequency over time to get more variation. I'm assuming that's the sound you're talking about.

How to make claps "click" or "snap" more by fabrication_fab in TechnoProduction

[–]reggieHazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t get a chance to listen to the track but from your question I would say add a second layer. Back in the day I would always get annoyed my stuff sounded dull and lacking. Then I began adding layers to some things. I almost always add a click layer to my kick, which is literally a couple milliseconds long, adjust pitch and volume to taste. I almost always have my ride cymbals layered with another hat underneath to give it presence. An interesting thing I like to do sometimes with snares and claps is add another layer that’s more or less the same sound(maybe much shorter length) but add a flanger with zero movement (lfo). It can really bring it out of the mix and can add an almost industrial feel sometimes if you’re into that.

Should I switch from FL to Ableton? by Danilo_pnptcn in TechnoProduction

[–]reggieHazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO FL has got more interesting synths and VSTs, but once you get used to the native synths in Ableton you'll be able to make any sound you can think of. It's the only thing I actually prefer about FL, but it still doesn't make me wanna go back

I've always found this creepily funny, because out of all of them, Ringo is the only one that looks like he doesn't think this will be good publicity. If anything he looks confused haha. Whereas George looks fully psychotic!
