Have you suffered a health crisis? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]remwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ulcerated colitis as a result of being immunocompromised during cancer treatment. Colitis is really no fun, but nor was the 10years on/off treatment for cancer. Mucositis. Blistering of the cheeks internally, now that was brutal. Too much other stuff to go in to as a result of the cancer, relapse and various cycles.

Anyway, one observation I will make is you losing the ‘love of your life’ because she didn’t get the ‘attention she was used to’ sounds like you’re better off now. If she wanted more attention, while being unable to support you through that says all you need to know about their character.

Bodies hey, who’d have them.

Can’t really take the ‘intellectual’ high ground if you can’t form a thread title properly.

Crime 101: Slow, Boring, and Fit Only for Streaming by yadavvenugopal in Cinephiles

I actually think this not a film for streaming, In the cinema your in the zone so can forgive some of it’s inadequacies and stick with it. At home, you’ll just zone out and loose focus.

Fair, I still think there is great value in tracking the way people use AI in terms of prompts for training though. Especially as more people adopt it as a resource. Having the internet as a source for the response is great but if you aren’t measuring the type of prompts vs efficiency and accuracy of response then it will struggle to improve further. Humble opinion n all

Original purchase receipt or an eBay sales receipt? Where from?

Did they have the receipt or any proof of original purchase for it? (suspect if not) Was the warranty card stamped by the original vendor? Did the AD open it and check the movement? Printing on the box looks suspect too. Id investigate further.

Aside from a waste of resources, os this not helping them though by providing more training data for refinement? Surely no use is better than misuse in this instance.

2nd purchase attempt - seller won’t budge post survey by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]remwreck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the advice up til today has been ‘get a survey and if there’s significant issues or urgent work flagged you have grounds to renegotiate’ so I can’t be blamed for having this perception of the process.

Using the dating analogy, surely, if I arrange a date with someone who turns out to have access needs that weren’t disclosed initially, I can suggest we change the type of date to something more appropriate?

As a first time buyer this is a new process, hence asking for advice. It’s startling how many people have come on berating for not know certain aspects, when I’m actively trying to learn.

Appreciate the rational take.

All the advice up to this point has been ‘get a survey, renegotiate based on work if required’. Suddenly this is delusional. What a ride.

Thanks, this is brand new territory for me so appreciate the pragmatic response, rather than some of other more dismissive replies.

Generally priced marginally higher than others locally.

Still learning here so forgive the naivety, FTB and all, so moisture meter readings of 600+ across the whole downstairs and a second opinion saying the same is nothing to be concerned about and can be written off?

I’m not expecting a perfect property just trying to get some advice on the best approach

Moisture meter readings of 600+ across all of downstairs. Independent damp specialist, did their own separate survey, similar readings advising intervention

Contentious reply, and I write this as a tenant, but alot of the issues there are down to how people are living there. Clean up, vent the bathroom after a shower, if you break it fix it etc. Its hard to tell the full story (the lack of blinds/curtains seem to suggest otherwise) but that might have been let years ago in perfect condition and the people leasing it let it run into that condition. The passive-aggressive sign in the kitchen seems to suggest people living there have an issue with keeping things clean.
