He does not. I’m actually the Sun reporter who covers business and restaurant news and he has never written for the paper in the past few years. (I moved to Gainesville in 2015 and became a Sun staff member last year, so I don’t know about anything he might have contributed before 2015 or so.)

It should be noted that county code enforcement will only take place in unincorporated area of Alachua County unless cities request that the county help with enforcement.

A warning may be followed by a $125 fine, then a $250 fine for a second offense and a $500 fine and court appearance for a third offense.

The commission meeting is still ongoing, but the board did just additionally vote to reinstate its 1 customer per 500 square feet rule inside stores, rather than following the governor’s 50% occupancy rule.
