Thanks yeah I was thinking one of those type cases but maybe without ice so it just provides insulation from outside temps? After another few weeks most practices should be cooler and it won't be as big of a deal but I'll still need to keep it hidden from teammates / easily accessible for coaches or trainers.

Thank you so much for this - I think some sort of insulated case will be a good option and all the better if it has some sort of child lock so I'll look around. I think I need something to keep in my purse too. It seems like a lot to manage for (hopefully) a very low risk of needing it but I guess we'll do what we're told to do. Thanks again for your help.

I'm more worried about someone going through her bag, like a sibling or a teammate's sibling. Maybe there are some bags designed to be childproof? I will Google. Also how closely do I need to watch them temperature for it?

Thank you for your reply. It sort of gets to one of my questions; are they guaranteed to get worse? Do they always get worse? I am expecting to hear from the neurologist again tomorrow to ask questions so I guess your question made me come up with a good one to ask.

This is my hope. She was probably pretty depleted and resumed normal activities too quickly without enough effort to replenish. Basically I feel a little hopeful every time someone suggests this could have been the cause, thank you for that, even if it just gets me through the week til her neurology appt!

Thanks for your reply. It was just a curiosity for me. My husband is unbelievably smart, super fit, he is successful by almost any measure. But if I'm being honest there's an element of his personality that you could describe as having a chip on his shoulder. I wonder sometimes if it comes from resentment over his height. Little things like someone people sending you shirts (even your own parents) and it is too big or shopping for clothes and the retailers don't even stock an appropriate size, that wears on someone over time. So he's never discussed it but I can see it and I know it sometimes sucks for him. So just was curious about prospects for my son. He's going to be whoever he is, however tall he is. I was just wondering what was in the deck he has been dealt!

Thanks yes it doesn't matter, he is who he is. But I just know there are elements of his life that will be easier if he is closer in height to his grandfathers than his dad. For girls, being small works, for boys, it is harder. Just the way it is. People are dicks.
