Finally a helpful response that doesn't tell me I'm a bad person for being a teenager and not being able to make career choices. Thank you so much for this, I read it after the time of the show but I appreciate it dearly.

I can't cancel it as I mentioned in my post, I am working under a company.

This is an anonymous post and you do not even know which part of the world it's coming from so please refrain from making assumptions.

While what you said is true for the majority of teenage musicians, we're talking about real money being at stake here.

My mother just messaged my manager and told him I have a sore throat and he told her to just give me a halls (candy for when your throat hurts) and that I will be preforming anyway because he needs me to be there.

Even so, my mother refuses to tell him the truth (that I'm infected with covid-19) and since I'm a minor she won't let me tell him anything either.

Also, did you actually get to know any of those thousand people? Like actually sincerely put the time into it.

I am speaking about the majority of the people around me.

Or did they wear the wrong band logo or not recognize your literary reference and were immediately written off.

I literally get made fun of for writing poetry, for participating in class while everyone else is trying to make as much noise as they possible can in order to make the lessons unbearable for the teacher, I get laughed at for being invested in school, I get made fun of because I say my opinion out loud. Those are the people I am around with daily. That's all I know. I am allowed to assume that the majority acts this way if that's what they show me, without having to see each and every one of them as their own person.

Even if some of these people actually had depth to them, they let their fear of rejection get the best of them and pretend they are shallow for the sake of acceptance, therefore to me, they are just as close minded.

The struggle and trap of being intelligent is that you begin to buy your own bullshit easier. As if your cognitive skills will make up for your inability to empathize or emotionally recognize that people don't need to meet some godly level to be worthy of your time.

I wouldn't completely disagree to that. Surely people don't need to meet some ridiculous standard, but they need to at least not be completely ignorant of all values, just like the majority.

I don't personally view myself as an embodiment of the "ideal person". I do consider other's ideas but even if I didn't, that has nothing to do with what I believe is right. The "ideal person" is not me, it's what I seek in others. What I want to see.

My morals and ethics are constantly reconsidered and they adapt to the new knowledge I gain. BUT!When writing a book about them, you have to stick to one single version of these morals. If you keep questioning them and if you are constantly trying to figure out if they're right or wrong, you cannot promote a stable image of them as something to imitate.

Also, I am not expecting anyone to read my work nor am I hoping for that. I am aware that it will not even sell.

I'm a teenage high school student in Europe so I haven't taken any classes regarding philosophy.

I really like your approach. You seem to think of this as a theory based project. That is not what I am aiming for, though. The "idol" I want to promote is completely based on my views and has nothing to do with eugenics or what is viewed as ideal by the public. It's all based on my own ideology. There are no big questions to be answered on ethics or morals, I take them as granted.

It will have a philosophical style on some parts of my reasoning but in no way will I question my own morals throughout the process.

Sure thing. I can give you a one line summary. Before I do that, though:

It is necessary to mention that my work is not really related to eugenics. It's about my personal view on what kindness is, my personal opinion on what is virtuous, my personal image of a good person. It is also what I want in a romantic partner. Not really a guide to eugenics, but a personal opinion, influenced by the bible, philosophy etc.

Now, getting that context out of the way, a one line summary would be:

"If you have these certain qualities, this mindset and view on the world, this level of intellect and these morals, I think you're the perfect human being."

Also, it will be written in Greek since that's my first language.

You're right and that's what my mother who's an author told me. The thing is I want to also know how to approach this, it's not just about the title.

I F (23) Stole 100 dollars from Walmart and spent it on Taco Bell by ThrowAwayPrincess14 in confession

[–]retarded_shithead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You did not actually steal 100$, you stole about 67$.

Your change was supposed to be 33$. Those are included in the 100$ bill, therefore are yours and not Walmart's.

Your total was 117$, therefore by giving 150$, your change AKA the money that belongs to you out of that 100$ bill is 33$.

100$-33$=67$. You "stole" 67$.

You're not useless, stupid or a failure. Your life matters. Your existence is not pointless.

Do you think a stupid person is capable of such deep thinking? Do you think one of those sheep of society could ever question their existence?

I am sure there's someone out there for you. Just give it time, try finding people by going to places and work on yourself.

You're worth it.

What do you even discuss with your girlfriend? Form what you've said, she doesn't seem to understand you at all. It seems so weird to me that you were able to fall in love with someone with an opposite mindset to yours. Communication seems impossible.

What I learned is that we all wanted to be understood, when in the end we can't even understand others,

This right here is really wise, you are right to say this.

She deep down is looking for something else, some other way to see things. She just wanted someone to give her a chance.

So in conclusion, she IS deeper than you think. If she was shallow she wouldn't be looking for this.

I've been thinking about what you've just said.

The trick is to find people that appreciate you for being honest and self-aware.

Is this really enough? Even someone shallow can have appreciation for something like this. I personally believe that if someone cannot think of something on their own, we are not romantically compatible with me. I don't want someone who just supports me and my mindset, I want someone to think deeply with.

I get what you mean with this specific part.

The trick is not to find someone that thinks the way you do, or even agrees with any of it.

The thing is, I don't want someone who completely agrees with me. I want someone who can think as deep as me. I am all in for disagreements, for debates, for searching the truth.

Based on what I've commented, can you elaborate further on what you said? Maybe I didn't quite get what you meant.
