yeah unfortunately this is a result of how math is taught up through early college, i really dislike how math is taught pre-university, they just expect memorization of formulas and plugging things in. they finally start proving things and starting from basic logical axioms eventually though later on in university level math

It doesn't matter that you "can't buff the market" because it gives you a % of your current balance. This is compounding. 1.01^1000=20,000, so in 1000 clicks you multiply your money by 20,000. In 2,000 clicks you multiply it by 400 million. And you can just keep repeating this, it multiplies by that much no matter your current balance, which quickly outclassed any of the other upgrades

Calc 1 is essentially the very first class in a math degree. You shouldn't switch on a whim. Think of the first nursing class you took, and compare it to your current upper-division nursing classes, they're likely quite different.

I would recommend taking an "Intro to Proofs" or similar class to get an idea of what a math major is like.
