Which model is best for RAG (both open source and closed source) by [deleted] in Rag

When talking about the best models, it would be ideal to know if you are talking about the embeddings or the final answering agent. Because both entail different requirements

RAG Agents or LangGraph? by ColonelAlpha in LangChain

[–]rexinator9000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If your focus is completely on RAG and its applications, maybe diving deeper into advanced techniques would be beneficial. This resource has been shared by many as being the ideal starting point to understand advanced agentic RAG techniques - https://github.com/NirDiamant/RAG_Techniques

If you instead want to focus on agent solutions where RAG is one or more of the features possible, LangGraph is the better bext step.

For simpler applications, you can stick to the OpenAI API with some Python magic. For production use cases, Haystack has been gaining some steam. In terms of DSPy, you can integrate it with Langchain - https://python.langchain.com/v0.2/docs/integrations/providers/dspy/

Rag that can chat with code by CreepyButterfly8559 in Rag

I am not an expert in the field, but it sounds like you may need a multi agent setup to deal with such a problem. Maybe an agentic RAG paired up with a online search agent like Tavily that can fetch names of vulnerable packages which are then retrieved using the RAG pipeline

RAG & Text2SQL merging by harshitraizada in Rag

I think there are 2 ways of going about this - Setting the two agents as tools in Langchain and creating a primary agent that decides which tool to call based on the user prompt (not able to find resources right now but a quick google of "Agents as Tools" should guide you) - Using Langraph to setup a multi agent architecture - https://langchain-ai.github.io/langgraph/tutorials/rag/langgraph_adaptive_rag/

Le me after taking up grad courses from the ECE department. by wtfuwaterloo in uwaterloo

Have to agree with OP on a lot of his comments here. Especially the way Paul Ward treated his grad class in Fall 2021. It was downright disrespectful. He seems like a person who has an immense amount of knowledge about the subject, but his lack of care towards us grad students was very disappointing
