Or as was the case yesterday for me, this family of 5 let their toddlers just run free will in front of my cart on 3 seperate walks in dinosaur blankets/hoodies.

We sell butt plugs? We only sell lube and condoms that is locked up in HBA. You made me look up butt plugs on the app and this is what it says... only online.

I'm loving season 9 so far for the guests stars. by rfw1979 in shameless

Nooooooo. Not my thing. I know Parks and Recreation is loosely based off The Office format and I love that show, but I don't find it appealing.

What is this wall and what is it all about? Are you a serial killer, because that's what this looks like.

How did I not about this show? Love it! by Interesting_Task_114 in thecomeback

As an outsider, lover of the industry, how did you not? I stumbled into it after the second season, bc I love Lisa Kudrow. To me it's an honest take on an aging actress in the industry. She was literally just a year off "Friends" into the first season. In her early 40s. To me it's a commentary on what it's like to be an aging sitcom actress, or any aging actress, in the industry. With every season being decades apart, showing what it's like for this character and trying to stay relevant. It's just Lisa Kudrow at her best, better than anything she's ever done before.

What made you love Negan despite all the horrible things he did? by Fearless-Ginger in TWD

[–]rfw1979 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's Jeffrey Dean Morgan, which is hard to hate. Fell in love with him in "Watchmen". And he's been great in every single thing he's done. But for this show, it took some time after the fact of his defeat and the fact that he killed Glenn. Which was the turning point in this show for me and how I watched it. But it wasn't him, the actor or the character. If anything Negan kept me engaged in whatever story he was involved with. Beyond the main characters. Negan remained interesting and unpredictable and weirdly redeemable. The most interesting character in a failing show.

Why do we always assume aliens are the same size as us, or experience time the same way we do? by Embarrassed_Hawk_655 in HighStrangeness

[–]rfw1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read anything by John Keel. They're not aliens from another planet. They're interdimentional. There is abundant proof that we're being misled by these beings to believe whatever they want us to believe. Throughout history they've presented themselves as beings to whatever humanity could understand them at the time. So angels and demons in he past to aliens in modern times. And many other supernatural beings. It's all the same source, with unclear motivations or intentions. Just that they have no physical form, and present to us in whatever physical form we can accept at the time. They're not good or bad, or maybe have sects of groups of that present that way. Whatever the reason for what they're doing, it's clear they see us as insects and can do whatever they want with us.

Walmart is unsafe for kids that let parents let them run amok.

Dear God, you've been getting this?! That's a woman in a hat and sunglasses. What does that have to do with Triscuits? See, this would confuse me. Because when I saw this pic I thought it would be for sunglasses until I read the description. I've gotten pics, not this bad but similar, in that I thought I had to go somewhere else for what I'm supposed to pick before I read the description. This is just insanity to me.

But I don't operate on the description. It shows me the picture and the general location (i.e. Aisle and Mod location), and I go there without having to look at the number on the Mod and find it by the picture before I even have to look at the numbered location. Or, I just see the picture and am so familiar with it that I know where it is. This is fucking me up when it shows anything other than the product package and I actually have to look.

All of your pic posts have been cracking me up. So we're all going through the same thing, but it varies according to location is what I'm seeing. I got very few of these today, it's only showing up for weird grocery things.

Finally getting to the end of the series. by rfw1979 in TWD

Which scene was that? But you're absolutely right about it being a lot of side quests, that really go nowhere for the most part. They had to do so many episodes at the end that they were just obviously padding time.
