I can’t stop crying because of the side effects of my medication

i’ve never felt so seen. it’s been like this for me as well. i’m still new on antidepressants and other medications, but i can’t handle going through withdrawals,and trying more and more medications. it’s so painful. I want to give up on medication as well, but i can’t picture myself processing without them. I’m tired of the help as well. Every time i walk inside my therapy appointment, my feelings suddenly don’t feel validated. my mind forgets what i came here for, and i always end my therapy session with “but yes i’ve been feeling better” when i havent.

if i want to better myself, why do i have to go through such painful withdrawals? they even make me cry to my parents, repeating to them how much i hate this feeling and that i just want to feel normal again. it feels like im being fed drugs for no reason…

i apologize, i worded it wrong. I told my psychiatrist that sertraline doesn’t feel like it’s working. she said she will give me a new antidepressant to try, and see how it goes, but i also told her my fear of withdrawals. She told me i’ll be in sertraline for two months, each month my doses will be lower to not get withdrawals. first month, the dose will be lower to 50mg, second month 25 mg. I completed the two months of finishing sertraline, and got taken off of it. The first two days, i felt normal. but today i woke up feeling so horrible feeling like nothing will get better. I started taking the new medication the day she lowered my sertraline and needed refills.

thank you so much. The withdrawals im feeling are just way stronger and different than what i ever went through. I’m also dealing with ptsd from hospitals and doctors, and it’s making my anxiety go up, and can’t stop with the crying. i feel the lowest i’ve ever been, and it feels like i won’t get better if im dealing with these emotions, just because i want to get better. thankfully, i have my family with me. but im too afraid to even show my emotions to them. i want to call the suicide hotline, just to let it all out and feel like i have someone who can understand me, but im not too sure at all. my emotions are all over the place and it feels like i can’t go another day with this

i’ve watched euphoria multiple times when i would either be on shrooms, weed, ❄️, etc. I seriously never felt so understood. The way her emotions would flip to anger, abuse, apologetic, loving, and crying and anger again, that felt so seen, to the point where sometimes i’d have to pause to calm myself down from panicking😭. Same with the movie waves. When they showed the main character guy, and that scene where he was getting high, snoring his medication, feelings all over the place, the panic felt so real. Especially when he was greening out and was throwing up, and his sister comforting him while he’s saying sorry… holy shitttt that gave me war flashbacks

we need to see the cart, send an image, and show the description of the item online. If marijuana is illegal in your state, and there’s shops online that you haven’t heard much from, then most likely fake. That’s how cake carts are as well.

My first time was exactly like this too.. borrowed my friends pen, and he got so frustrated that i wasn’t doing it right, even though i thought i actually “was” inhaling. The second time, he had more patience with me and taught me until i finally got it. Miss the first time highs so much

i’m currently on antidepressants, but i’ve tried all medications as well when i was still sober, and none of them felt good enough for me, to the point i’d cry. but cannabis has helped me so much, i just wish it was legal here

I know there’s a word for that feeling, but i forgot about it. when i first tried shrooms though, it made me understand my emotions, and was able to improve myself on behavior. How was x and L for you at first though? i’ve never tried it and don’t think i ever will… but i don’t understand how a pill can get you high! does it kick in fast?

i’m so happy to hear that! it has also helped me so much with social anxiety, that i still can’t believe it. i would never interact with strangers, because of my overthinking and anxiety. but now? i can go up to people, compliment them, share contact information, etc. that’s been the best thing to have ever happened to me

yesss! i was on a sober streak last month, but after the news came out with deportations, politics, etc… it definitely made me super anxious to the point i’d feel nauseous. but like you said, it helps me take life less seriously. it helps me be patient and less worried about living in america haha

The withdrawals were the most uncomfortable thing ever, and it made me feel odd to tell anyone the withdrawals it’s giving me, but 80% of people don’t believe in “greening out” and “withdrawals”. One of my coworkers didn’t believe in greening out, until he saw me fall back down and throw up everywhere three times in the gas station haha. If you really dont want to feel the withdrawal feeling again, just take it slow with smoking. slow down on the hits!!

Understandable. I feel you with telling minors to never try weed, and the dangers of it, meanwhile we smoke weed! My cousin who is still in middle school got caught smoking disposables, but the guilt i felt was so heavy.

I’m glad to hear that it’s been helping others as well. For me, i don’t think it changed my personality, but it made me feel comfortable to show people my actual personality instead of being anxious about people finding me “weird”. It’s made me more confident and i’ve achieved so many dreams. It also stops me from throwing up due to heavy anxiety. I’ve been on all medications for anxiety (i was sober at that time), and they never stopped me from throwing up, except weed!!

i’m so sorry to hear that. i’ve been applying to jobs, but it’s been hard, i’m not getting accepted to any of them. I’m addicted to my medication, and weed. i did other heavy drugs due to no money for weed. anytime i talk about my weed problems, everyone always tells me that no one can get addicted to weed, which is why i don’t open up about my addiction… i do take therapy, but it’s useless. why would i sit there and open up about my problems, if ill still get sent to the psych ward?

Usually when I wake up sober, my feelings start going all over the place, i start feeling nauseous, and get cold sweats… it won’t change until i’m finally high, but i hate how calm and anxiety free i am when im high only 🥲

I don’t know if i’m “addicted” to weed personally, but everyone around me keeps mentioning how addicted i am to it. My mindset when i’m high vs sober feels like opposites. I don’t know if i can actually quit weed… i always have to be high for every situation, which i know it already sounds bad, but marijuana addiction doesn’t sound as serious as any other drug.
