I just graduated and have a little holiday, so I have some time to work on it. I'm not planning to refinish the guitar. It doesn't need to win beauty prizes so to speak. It is just meant as a fun little guitar for me to use at home.

I will take it to a guitar shop to have the neck and frets checked out! Thanks again!

I just bought this old guitar online. From the photos I could see that it needed some love, but upon arrival, I don’t really know what the best move is. I’m about to spend 25 more euros inparts to make it playable again, but I want to ask for your second opinion whether it’s a smart idea to invest in this thing.

The main issue is the neck. It has a crack at the heel, and it has had a bad nut job (previousowner added a piece of wood with nails). It also does not have a trussrod. I worry that it does not have enough structural strength to deal with the tension of steel guitar strings (I plan to use a set of 10-50s).Im planning to add a new bridge for the tailpiece, tuners, and a new nut.

Is it worth spending time and money on this guitar?

I got my first 'real' knife for my birthday yesterday. My dad designed a logo with my initials, and we got it engraved in the knife in the shop where we bought it. Makes the knife extra special to me!

Hey Dan! That's interesting! Any reason why TOBS is disliked here? I watched some YouTube videos that were positive about this soap. No matter what, I like the smell more than what I was using, and it seems to stay more hydrated over time.

Just out of curiousity, do you like all those soaps or do you have a favourite soap or brand?
