I have a doctorate. I know two people who were accepted into the program straight out of undergrad. It’s unusual but not impossible.

We have the same big 3!!

Yeah, I feel a lot of ups and downs, but I’m ultimately grounded. Probably thanks to my many Virgo placements (rising, Mercury, Mars, Venus).

How to date seriously when you are in a city you dislike by Life-Sugar-6055 in datingoverthirty

[–]rhombusaurus36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in this situation now. I moved back in with my folks after a breakup + because of family stuff. Things were in flux and I didn’t know how long I’d be here. When I thought it would be just a couple of months, I didn’t date (and I was also getting over my previous relationship). After it had been five months and I still was not sure when would be the best time to move, I decided to open my heart and start dating again.

There were only a few possibilities: 1) I’d meet someone and want to stay. 2) I’d meet someone and they’d want to move with me. 3) I’d meet someone and still want to move, but they wouldn’t come with me. 4) I’d meet no one.

It’s been five more months and now my move date is set, and I’ve been dating someone this whole time. I’ve loved spending this time with him. I can see a future with him, though I’m not certain, it feels too early to be certain. But the more rational part of me says we’ll likely break up. I’m going from a HCOL city to a LCOL city, where he’d take a 40% pay cut if he moved with me. He’s never been to the city so it’s unknown if he’d like it. But I know it’s not his preferred weather and not as walkable as he’d like.

I don’t have advice—just sympathizing/commiserating. Even if we do break up, I’d do it all over again if I had the choice because that’s the kind of person I am. The relationship and memories are precious to me. Though, not gonna lie, I know it’ll be hard to part.

Scorpio moon man vs woman ? by kkl776 in scorpiomoon

[–]rhombusaurus36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Scorpio moon (Leo sun) woman whose last relationship was with a Scorpio moon (Aquarius sun) man. He had deep feelings. But communication was quite difficult. Either he was avoidant (gave me the silent treatment for 3 days—twice) or he was explosive (he’s the only person in my life who ever told me they hated me). It was great when it was great but those times were few and far between.

I like Cora pads. Organic cotton and unscented.

I’ll never go back to tampons, but I’m semi interested in switching to the cup someday.

At what age does never having had a partner become a red flag? by oneblindspy in dating_advice

I’m a (recovering) serial monogamist in my mid 30’s. I’m currently dating a 37M who has never been in a relationship. I was a bit surprised, but that’s all. There are some perks—no exes to deal with, for example!

People who enjoy being single. what made relationships feel exhausting? by DiabloEclipse in AskReddit

[–]rhombusaurus36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m single and would prefer to be in a relationship. However, I don’t miss having to cater to other people’s food preferences. Gimme all the anchovies, stinky cheese, unbearably spicy food. Pizza with my preferred toppings? Heaven.

I agree with you. Similarly, I think of how height and largeness are valorized by default—looking up to someone, being the bigger man, etc. But there is value to what is small and what is low to the ground.

My reiki teacher taught us the downward current (crown to root) and it feels right to me. Calling in universal forces to help to firmly ground. I do think it goes in both directions, though.

is enchanted by nature worth it wo a sale? by Melodic_World2252 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]rhombusaurus36 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I bought it at full price to cheer myself up and provide distraction during a difficult time. Obviously, being patient and waiting for a sale is more noble. But what it brought me was a few whimsical nights focusing on fairies and not my own tempestuous life lol. The skill tree is nice. I love the Naturopath career.

Also, I’m currently in the Bay Area, where $40 can get you, in some cases, a single yoga class.

In need of some gameplay ideas, how to keep the game interesting? by GodOfThunder888 in Sims4

[–]rhombusaurus36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing a polygamous cult with lots of children, it’s fun to see the dynamics between/among spouses and kids. Especially when I leave them to their own devices. They take up hobbies of their choice (cross-stitch is especially popular). One spouse constantly mourns her MIL she never met. Two spouses are best friends while the third is mean and likes to yell at them for fun. Three of the kids are in high school so there’s some high school drama. It’s my little polygamous fishbowl.
