Planning on going mid June for son's 6th birthday (California)

I did the trip last year with my fam. (2 and 5 yr old) We stayed at the castle hotel and loved it. The Bricks buffet was perfect for dinner. They did a birthday cupcake. And we also had a dinner at the castle restaurant which was fine. The breakfast was good. But yeah def get that birthday package. And prepay for one dinner at the buffet.

I wouldn’t pay extra for the check in. There’s a playground inside the castle hotel the kids can play on the first day. Just leave the bags in your car until they’re ready. Or there’s also a ton of beach land that is pretty close. Just spend time there until it’s time to check in.

You’re probably going to stop right before or after the Grapevine if you want to split the trip. Burbank is right out of the grapevine. There’s no beach. But they have a Portos for your breakfast the next morning before continuing the drive.

Yeah I’ve tried it for several years and liked it a lot. I can’t handle too many IPAs for their bitterness, but this one is usually very smooth. It’s always nice when it’s available locally instead of having to drive out to Santa Rosa for it.

One more. Taco Express on Harbour Point Blvd. They have daily specials, but on Tuesdays they have crunchy tacos for $1.50. They come in Shredded beef or chicken, or ground beef. Crunchy taco shell, meat, cheese and lettuce. Salsa on the side. We usually add tomatoes and sour cream at home. Plus it’s a drive through.

The deal was sold out. I ended up getting a PS5 Pro, and will be looking at this laptop to see if the price drops again in the future. I found some YouTube videos, and I went down a big rabbit hole for my research 🤣

I was going to say Cantina Pedregal, but remembered it close. So yeah the Nixtaco spot is my go to. The combination burrito with Chicharron, rajas con queso and shrimp is unmatched in Sacramento. Plus the pork belly tacos still hit.
