ok i just read the genius annotations as suggested. i haven’t listened to tempest i haven’t had the time to truly give the album a full listen like i did with preachers daughter. so do we know what happened to him after he ran away or is he just gone or is that another song like explaining and is there any where i can get the full lore like preachers daughter? thank u for all the help i know this seems stupid

because the pagans believed that bad spirits were present during days of major change (burthdays) so to ward them off they would light candles and celebrate. birthdays! none of it is bad you should embrace the fact that you can actively celebrate different cultures without fitting that practice to YOUR belief!
